Sophomore "Redshirt" (due to season long foot injury) Brandon Heyen......6'8"....200+

I think Brandon Heyen will benefit from a full, healthy JV season in 2013-14.  Then, with the redshirt, should have two full seasons to get in the varsity mix.

He is an intriguing kid - 6-8, really long, and can do a lot of things offensively.

I agree from what you said in that he can do a lot of things offensively......and very agil and runs the floor well for a guy that size.  Just needs to get that foot 100%.  That being said, I think he is going to surprise some people; this will be a matchup issue against most teams.  Not to be forgotten, a tremendous shotblocker on the defensive side.  And with him on the court; an uptempo style will be where he is really most effective.......Maybe even get some ally oop dunks thrown to him from Dylan, like they did back in high school  ;).

URoc, agree with you about Heyen.  Really hope he gets healthy, back to full fitness and can really make a good run at being in the rotation, helping the Titans bigtime this coming season.  Rose has so much good talent coming back, but there will always be issues -- injuries, changes, academic issues, etc. so it's good to have lots and lots and lots of backups, extra talent to throw into the fray, esp. at CCIW time.

Should be a great season upcoming as so much talent throughout the league coming back for another go'round.

GO TITANS!

Looks like he has a chance to be a good CCIW player.

That was a trip down memory lane.  Haven't been in any of those gyms for at least 20 years.  Granted, they were always less full during wrestling meets.  That Waukegan gym is a dungeon, and yet a really fun place to watch a game.

83 points in any sport is nothing to sneeze at, but the highest point total actually came from the men's cross country team winning the national championship back in the fall (100 pts for this).

Thanks Kiko. U are entirely correct. I should have remembered that.  :-[
