Simon Fraser should be a good road game test for the Cats.  SF will already have a game under the belts and if the Cats should prevail I think it just might help their standings in the eyes of those from the East that are occasionally somewhat skeptical of us Left Coast programs.  Simon Fraser beat Azusa Pacific last year who just barely lost to Western Oregon and Central Washington all D2 schools who had pretty good seasons (both ended 7-4 seasons).

It will be very interesting to see where the pollsters place the Cats after the Stagg Bowl in the final poll of 2019.  We may not be up there with St Johns and Whitewater but truly think we're a far better team than #20 in the nation.  St Johns may have beaten the Cats at the Catdome but it likely would have been a much closer game than the game played at Chapman.  Massey only fpredicted St Johns over Linfield by 7 points.

Let's recruit one from Hawaii as well  and then the opposing teams will have no running game at all as the there will be no room to run due to the mass of humanity.  720 pounds of humanity in two positions...pretty good start for 2020 defensive unit.

Well there will be a shakeup in the final poll with #1, #2 and #3 all out of the playoff picture before we get to the semifinals.  On any given day, top tier teams can upset the pollsters!

A truly valiant effort for the Cats yesterday....down 14 points, three times and kept coming back.  They never gave up and showed the true desire to win.  Can't wait till next year with all the young freshman and sophomores who made up the majority of the team....lots and lots of young growing talent in this bunch.  Watch out next year for the Cats to run the board!

Massey Projections are out:

Cats 30
Chapman 24

His computer has a pretty good track record...his projection on the Whitworth game were right on the mark.  Win probability:  Linfield 67%....Chapman 33%....we will see on Saturday.

The Cats are a good team IF they play 4 quarters of football.  Watching the past two games, they were a championship level team in about 2 quarters of each game....if they put it together for 4 quarters in the playoff run they could be tough to beat....if they don't well It'll be a long plane ride home.

Massey Ratings Predicts:
Cats - 37
Rats - 27

Sure hope their computer knows what it's doing!

Appropriate respect and recognition will come if the Cats keep winning BIG like them have for the past 5 weeks....just put the numbers up on the scoreboard and eventually it will turn heads and the respect will follow!

Time to even the score with the Rats from last year.  If the Cats play up to their potential next Saturday, the Rats will find holding onto their Championship hardware will be pretty tough.  This has all the makings of a game where whoever has the ball last wins!  Go Cats....way to rebound from the Redlands loss!

Likely the Cats are perhaps a better team than the pollsters believe but that is fine with me...win the next three and then become the underdogs in the playoffs and run the table!

Congrats Cats!!!  If the Cats would have played in the first half like they did in the second half, it would have been 77 points for 3 weeks in a row!

Cats were impressive today.  They seemed to just be getting better each and every week.  Had they played Redlands today it would not have been a blemish on the schedule.  Lute week next up!

The good news about the past two games is that all the young kids got playing time and giving the coaches an opportunity to view their skill set in real game situation.  I suspect they all may get that opportunity again this Saturday.  These three games can have have real value in sharpening the Cats skill set for the future.  I recall WC11 saying at the beginning of the season that their was a huge amount of talent in this group of kids, they just need time to develop into what has the potential to be another great team.

The Black and White jersey's are terrible and do not reflect the honored tradition of Linfield football.....and that was the consensus of everyone sitting around me in the stadium.  Here's hoping the staff is monitoring these Boards and return to the Linfield tradition!
