I look forward to reading everyone's comments and learning more about the SCIAC (and other D-III) teams/programs from you guys.
Redlands: Has shoddy phone systems and never won a playoff game

UR hasn't really been any good since the 7-year run of Dan Selway ended.

Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

What do the Eagle Rock Jr. Midgets and Redlands have in common?

0 NCAA playoff wins.

So let me see if I've got this straight....

Redlands has a bulldog who has lots of unprotected casual sex for a mascot. Quite representative for a college.
Occidental, on the other hand, has a tiger named after a safety conscious octopus who lives with a dog named Weenie. Sounds very descriptive of how the athletic department has been run.
Cal Luthern should be using Louie Louie as their fight song. Catch a CL(U)e.
Chapman is where my son is going to want to hang out. Even people in Oklahoma have told him this.
La Verne, what else can you say besides Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!
Whittier is where I went to 7th and 8th grade. Hope the curriculum has gotten stronger.
PP. We shoot sagehens in Oklahoma. 'Nuff said.
CMS. A rather regal mascot, I must say, at least for the next four years. Plus, we do a lot of Muddin' in Oklahoma (especially when we go shooting sagehens).

and Linfield. I still haven't figured out the non-con fascination, but they seem to be the churn and burn of admittance in the northwest (even worse than Redlands).

Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you this fall.

Cheers!

I might have asked this before but do D3's really have a letter of intent for high schoolers to sign?  Isn't it still a crap-shoot to see who shows up on campus?

Heya jack
I'm just about to post the BIG group of commits in the ASC but with a little detective work you can find all kinds of information on kids wanting to attend DIII schools for football.  Usually I begin with a News sweep, then ride any information to YouTube where is in many cases video coverage and finally Twitter feeds that have the kids saying where they plan on attending. It means nothing until fall comes around but it is good for the youngsters to cement some sort of committment. In the ASC so far we have 75 kids committing to the schools in ASC, UMHB and believe it or not Howard Payne had a big group committing. Same could be said for SCIAC it just takes time to work it. Check out the ASC side for my commit report... Back to you Pat!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=117&v=4cLwiEk_Jkc

Update on the attempts to revise the program.  They really are pushing hard for more alumni money.  They actually sent an email saying in 2017 Oxy football only received 28,000 dollars in gifts (lowest in the SCIAC).  I wonder why alumni gifts have dried up?  What could have happened?
