Good memory, RFMichigan. Eureka was in the Illini-Badger until 2008, when the NACC started sponsoring football and took Aurora, Benedictine, CUC, CUW and Lakeland with them.

CUC head coach Rusty Rogers will talk about the 14-2 Cougars, winners of nine in a row, on tonight's edition of "Hoopsville" - http://www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville/archives/2017-18/jan21. Rogers is scheduled for around 6:20 p.m. CT.

Thanks Hickory. I got that feeling as I was coming to Ripon but fortunately didn't get any mars lights. I'll be doubly careful heading back!

Congrats to CUC's Kylan Anderson who scored his 1,000th career point in Cougars' win at WLC on Saturday. Anderson averaging 32.0 points over first four games this year, and Cougars off to 2-1 start in NACC (2-2 overall).

CUC Cougars start off regional play with a 3-1 win over UW/LaCrosse. Some great drama as NACC Pitcher of the Year Dan Kluss retires Taylor Kohlwey (.459 entering tonight's game) with the bases loaded to end the game. Cougars play Adrian on Thursday.

CUC is off to a 4-0 start in the desert. They will face Univ. of St. Thomas tomorrow (Fri.) in the first of two weekend games. Hoping for a great game between two ranked teams!

CUC heading to Augustana for the Central Regional. Also going to the Quad Cities are Webster, Wartburg, Adrian and Ripon.

CUC will represent the NAC in the NCAA III regionals after a 9-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran. Ryan Thorsen hurls a CG five-hit shutout for the Cougars (36-5).

And Wisconsin Lutheran does hold off Benedictine 5-1. The Warriors will now advance to play CUC in the championship round. WLC must win twoce while CUC needs only one. Game begins at 4:30, second game if necessary would be tomorrow morning.

WLC now up 5-1 in the sixth and still batting. Back-to-back triples and a suicide squeeze have plated a pair of runs.

Day three: CUC will be in the championship round after beating Benedictine 8-6. The Eagles' bid for a rematch against the Cougars is being challenged right now as Wisconsin Lutheran leads the Eagles 3-1 in the fifth.
