Sure enough NACfan, you were right. The women's coaches had planned to play a full double round robin, but have now opted for 20 games instead. They'll have a rotation schedule to dictate which teams they only meet once each season.

I'm starting to like that idea as I think about it more. The single game against a conference opponent could be useful if it comes down to a tiebreaker especially if it's the two teams that played each other once.

Talk about going for it-- in terms of WLC, Wash-MO and Hope-MI --can't get much tougher than those two. Edgewood has 2 opponents (Whitewater and Stevens Point,) who also made the tournament last year, Rockford has 1 (Cornell-IA).

Very good scheduling by WLC. The Warriors are a quality team that need to test themselves outside of conference to get ready for a potential NCAA tournament appearance. Given geography, they are going to play a WIAC team, Calvin or Hope, the CCIW champion or someone like that in the first round of the NCAA. They aren't going to get a test like that in conference so they should schedule aggressively.

I'm pretty late with this comment but just as an aside I wanted to compliment WLC for the turnout and support shown by their fanbase in WHITEWATER.  I know the two schools are relatively close to one another but the numbers really surprised me.  That was really a lot of support for the team.  I made sure to compliment the athletic director after the game.  You're fortunate to have that level of support.

The last few years when the Warriors made the NCAA's, there was a whole lot of support for the team wherever they ended up. I remember two years ago they went to Calvin and there was the need for two buses because fan support was high (I went along that time). After the game we had Calvin fans and parents come up to us and they were impressed at the support and they also said that we put their student section to shame.

I heard about this year's crowd and I was surprised to hear about the large turnout (then again short distance played a factor) on the social media (had to miss due to two tennis meets in Iowa). The 6th man rises to the occasion when it's a big game.

Though Maranatha is no longer in conference as of tomorrow- I'll remember that squad's last in-conference home game--a playoff win over Concordia-Chicago.

Methinks "my" Warriors are going to have a tougher time defending their title in '13-14. (round-robin scheduling and all).

Per NACC schedule:

Benedictine non-cons: (as of 7/8/13):

11/16 vs. Goshen
11/19 vs. Monmouth
11/26 at   North Central-IL

Lakeland:

11/22 at  Alma
11/26 at UW-Oshkosh

NACfan215

Lakeland:

11/15: Calvin
11/22: @Alma
11/26: @UW Oshkosh
12/16: @Maranatha
12/31: @Finlandia

Tough season opener against a good Calvin team. Challenging road game against an up and coming Oshkosh team.
