What a signing for College of St. Elizabeth. Rick Stainton?!

He'll win the conference within 2 years.

Hard to believe no one has anything to say any more.

Just not a whole lot to report on! Some coaching vacancies still out there, but not a ton of D3 turnover this year.

D3 Coaching Carousel is a great source...after decisions have been made...I am as equally interested in which jobs have come open and still pending. Thanks for the link though!

Open as well:

Cal Tech

I was surprised that Taylor Houck left CalTech for Knox College. She only was at CalTech for 2 seasons and started the program there. Starting a program is a huge undertaking and can be very frustrating but it would be a very good resume builder. Perhaps Houck felt that she took the program as far as she could and her work was done. I don't understand trading in the Los Angeles area for Know College - a school situated in a fairly rural area of Illinois. LA isn't for everyone, though. It's very expensive to live there and the congestion and style of living can be overwhelming for someone that doesn't want that. Additionally, with CalTech being one of the most difficult schools in the world to gain acceptance to, recruiting can be difficult. It takes a special student/athlete to excel in that environment. Other high-profile academic schools get good student-athletes so it can be done. Look at Wash U. U of Chicago, the other UAA schools, the 5 Cs near CalTech (even though they combine schools for teams), MIT, and others. I would think that for the right person that Cal Tech would be a desirable job. IN the inaugural year their GAA was nearly 5 and last season they were a bit over 3 so I think that Houck had them on the right track. It is going to require a lot of patience to get them up to par with some of the other good California D3 programs - the 5 Cs, Cal Lutheran, etc
