This may be D-1, but in my neighborhood, the big game today is Masseyrating #223 Stephen F Austin just beat #Masseyrating #2 Duke in Cameron on a layup with 0.4 seconds remaining in OT, 85-83. (Or Ken Pomeroy #1 vs #263.)

Just like how we won't see Evansville back in Lexington, Kentucky anytime soon, the only appearance the Lumberjacks of SFA will be making in Durham, NC for the forseeable future is to WATCH Duke play.  February 2000 the last time they lost a non conference home game, sheesh!  Almost 20 years ago!  And I know most of those games end up being tomato can opponents, but every other year they do get a Big 10 team visiting and most of the time it's a pretty good Big 10 team.

What??? D1 interest over D3????    BLASPHEMY!!!!!   ;) ;) ;D ;D

One big D3 game on Thanksgiving eve... Undefeated Wooster (NCAC)  hosting preseason OAC favorite Mount Union

Want an ugly game to follow?
How about Winless Gallaudet at D1 Vermont....I see Vermont Coach John Becker Coached at Gallaudet back in the 90's...  Hopefully he won't let this game get too far out of hand....

Agreed mw.... 2 big ones in the CCIW.. they weren't on my list because I set both teams at a .750 winning % or better or both teams rated 3 or better in preseason conf poll to be included...

It appears that the CCIW conference race is going to be so close that you could as a policy INCLUDE or EXCLUDE every game that includes the Top 5 and maybe the Top 6.

With those criteria, you're not going to include a lot of CCIW games then.  We punish each other until the end of February.  No one is coming out of the CCIW unscathed and the top 7 are currently a combined 33-8.

The criteria change as the season moves on...In January, it quickly turns to conference matchups that will establish conference leaders... because I am a fan of the low ranked SLIAC, I find my greatest interests are games that establish no 1 in a conference leading to conf tourneys... not so much power conference 3s and 4s who may still get a bid....I feel it's an opportunity to give a little recognition to the lower level conferences...

Nothing approaching a big game today, 12/5/19... a slim Thursday night schedule....

Closest might be a Skyline match up between Preseason 1 Yeshiva (7-1) amd Preseason 2 Farmingdale St (3-4... but losses have been to some GOOD teams)

At the other end of the spectrum... in the SLIAC, Webster (1-6) hosts Spalding (0-5)....

On Yeshiva, leading scorer Ryan Turell sat out the last game, so his presence or lack thereof might be an issue.  I think the Macs are strong enough to win every game in their conference without a full roster, but you never know.
