Interesting that PLU's admin decided to go completely outside of the PLU family.  Sounds like McAdams is a good younger coach.

It also appears that he knows he's good.  8-)

He should fit in well with The Caruso Culture.

Redlands only played 7 games in 2013 and 2016?  ::)

Roh is a good get for the Dawgs. Liked his film.

Might be a starter after a couple years in program but a lot of work to do...

Kid is big and wants to be aggressive, of which you cant coach....but never blocked a linebacker from his guard spot....due to the fact he stands up to get off the ball. Yes could smother you when he gets to you. He needs to play lower, and quicker. He would never root out a good 1 tech, because they would get their hands into him, control him...He will find a 22 year old 270# experienced 1 and 3 tech is a different player than HS. His punch is not existent. He could not get off a combo block...He does not look well coached in high school. Lazy hands and a good d linemen could get him to turn his hip...But UR has a great O line coach and he will get better if he works hard ...can't coach size and aggression.

Easy there Mel Kiper

Once he gets a full injection of EXTREME DESIRE this kid is going to be able to flat back Pomona Pitzer linebackers like he's a road grader.

I'm not sure when was the last time the 'Cats got a win on the Eastern Washington swing but I'm hoping this is the weekend.  Go 'Cats!

So let me see if I've got this straight....

Redlands has a bulldog who has lots of unprotected casual sex for a mascot. Quite representative for a college.
Occidental, on the other hand, has a tiger named after a safety conscious octopus who lives with a dog named Weenie. Sounds very descriptive of how the athletic department has been run.
Cal Luthern should be using Louie Louie as their fight song. Catch a CL(U)e.
Chapman is where my son is going to want to hang out. Even people in Oklahoma have told him this.
La Verne, what else can you say besides Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!
Whittier is where I went to 7th and 8th grade. Hope the curriculum has gotten stronger.
PP. We shoot sagehens in Oklahoma. 'Nuff said.
CMS. A rather regal mascot, I must say, at least for the next four years. Plus, we do a lot of Muddin' in Oklahoma (especially when we go shooting sagehens).

and Linfield. I still haven't figured out the non-con fascination, but they seem to be the churn and burn of admittance in the northwest (even worse than Redlands).

Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you this fall.

Cheers!

You're going to fit right in!

I look forward to reading everyone's comments and learning more about the SCIAC (and other D-III) teams/programs from you guys.
Redlands: Has shoddy phone systems and never won a playoff game

UR hasn't really been any good since the 7-year run of Dan Selway ended.

Eagle Rock Jr. Midgets > Occidental

What do the Eagle Rock Jr. Midgets and Redlands have in common?

0 NCAA playoff wins.

Redlands: Has shoddy phone systems and never won a playoff game
Oxy: Don't invest too much getting to know them
CLU: Had a window to be pretty good but that has passed. Plays terrible run defense.
Chapman: You park under their football field. Beautiful campus
La Verne: One winning season since 2000
Whittier: Changes head coaches about every 3 years
P-P: Always respect a team whose mascot wears a cap

Linfield can play UPS Friday night, stay at a Tacoma hotel. Sleep in Saturday and take a bus down to Portland to play Lewis and Clark Saturday night. The difference between that and playing UPS and PLU in the same weekend is about 2 extra hours on a bus Saturday.

The whole argument/complaint made by is pretty nonsensical

I agree.

'Cats looked great last night vs L&C.

Tonight's win made it the first time under Shanan Rosenberg that Linfield has won 10 conference games, last time was 2009-10 season. The 16 overall wins are the most games won in a season by the program since 2002-03 #RollCats

That's a must since both current coaches have interim tags.

Shows you how much I've been paying attention!!   ;D ;D ;D

Linfield rolled Fox by 35 in Newberg. The Bruins don't play much defense and can't rebound the ball very well.

Linfield's schedule is officially out.

Play Carroll on Sept 1st, Bye Week, Redlands on Sept 15th, Bye, and then open up NWC play on the road at Whitworth.

Not a fan of the stop and start nature of the bye weeks but I think it will be helpful in terms of recouping after the long bus ride out to Montana and back.

Overall 5 home games: Redlands, Willamette, L&C, PLU, and Pacific
4 Road games: Carroll, Whitworth, GFU, UPS

Not a basketball guy (obviously) but the amount of pressure Whitman applies from tip to buzzer is impressive.  I know that's not a new observation but seeing it first hand was fun to watch. You get that skill and effort in front of a home crowd and that must be a buzzsaw.

Love what Shannon is doing with the Linfield program. Not on the Whit/Whit level but he has the 'Cats trending upward.

Whitworth and Whitman win again tonight. Linfield not ready for the big show but should be able to hang on to a tournament spot through the back half of the conference schedule. Lewis and Clark is the best team that has zero shot at the conference tourney, I think they’ll be the one to ruin it for one of the teams sitting 3-5 (Pacific/UPS/Linfield).
