NESCAC 24/7
don't understand that post

We agree there is less likelihood of finding a great number of high level D1 prospects in NY. But to imply that a NESCAC D3 recruit is probably not that good because he is from NY is total nonsense.

No secret Syracuse hasn't done well in recent years. Thats not the point. My point is there are many prospects in the state of NY who can certainly contribute and excel at the NESCAC level. Not saying NY is comparable to NJ or other fertile recruiting states by any means but there are ample NESCAC prospects in NY and many of those have historically excelled in the NESCAC.
I am talking NESCAC, not D1. I raised the Syracuse point because the D1 program in the state carries 18 NY kids who are presumably able to compete at the D1 level regards of whether or not they wanted to stay close to home- another irrelevant point here.

Pretty shortsighted to slight any recruit from NY because NY is not a strong Football state.
Many good NESCAC and Ivy players have come from NY over the years.

There are 15-20 New York kids on the Syracuse roster. While they may or may not be dominant players in the ACC I would think most or all would be very good NESCAC players at a minimum despite being from the Empire Sate.

No reason Johansen won't be a very good player at Williams regardless of where he is from. He was  recruited and sought after by many of the NESCACS and also had strong Patriot and IVY interest. He made an early decision in the recruiting cycle to commit to Williams which evidently was his target school.

Not sure what position but the Johansen kid will have an impact on the Williams program. One of the better NESCAC class of '27 recruits.

Did anyone like the change in the Willims Football Helmet color ?

Curious to know why the change.I liked the old colors of the helmets better.

I also think BAtes needs an upgrade in their Uniforms as well.

Bates redesigned their uniforms prior to last season. They added the grey jerseys and pants which look great. They now have 3 different jersey and pant options creating several great combos. Check again Charlie and Kat.

Thats a great and accurate post- not sure we've seen NFO before but he just nailed it.
Many new posters here don't see the big picture but it's fun to see the passion.

It's a double edge sword for Amherst and Williams. Agree they will win a majority of the recruiting battles. However, believe they also have stiffer admissions requirements than Tufts or Trinity so they have to pass on a number of recruits that other schools can readily accept.

Gotta agree with the Mole on this one. Based on his comments and narratives the Ghost seems like a grandstander at best- kind of a second guesser who professes to know how to get it done but has never actually been in the fray himself. More of a critic.
I could be wrong and we may find he was a great one in Cards history but I  doubt that based on his comments.

That list has a lot of errors- I'd disregard it for the most part.

I'll second that!
N1 extremely knowledgable on the NESCAC and his knowledge applies to Football and Basketball.
No greater authority on NESCAC sports.

As an independent observer, this whole debate seems baffling.  You had two 8-1 teams and one of them beat the other. Figuring out which team was the "best" or de facto "champion" is not rocket science.

Thank You to the Garnet Dutchman as a neutral guy who stepped in- couldn't agree more.
Is it me or are the Bantams trying to work the stats and numbers to justify this foolish co-championship?
Trinity was second best this year.

Agree with G&P
The entire narrative here has evolved way too far into statistics and analytics. It's about wins and losses.
Is this the Trinity arsenal lobbying for a paper title- not sure as I just refuse to read it all.
Why cant we close the book the book on the 23 season with the fact that Middlebury beat Trinity in Hartford and they deserve the title regardless of NESCAC guidelines......the same NESCAC that in its infancy in the 1970's used to list the conference standings and records alphabetically by school.

Curious to hear other's thoughts on Fetter being named New England DII-DIII Player of the Year, but the Nescac coaches voting on him to share the title with Richardson. Kind of weird how he can be voted as the best player in all of New England DII and DIII but not even voted solely as such in his own conference if you ask me (which no one did).

Wow- curious.
NM alluded to some ill feelings in the ranks.

Norwich HC job opened up too.
