Quote from: D3fanboy on March 19, 2024, 04:42:50 PMreports from Toledo's pro day are trickling out...Ruby with a 30" vertical....yikes

Well that is certainly underwhelming. Did you hear any 40 times?

Wonder if/how Plunk performed. Not exactly sure where he fits in the professional football landscape.

Happy to see the boards back!

Sad to see JCU go. I am worried about the future of the OAC. I'd definitely be in favor of not filling that spot, unless a REALLY good option pops up (that I can't think of, geographically).

Would love for a Mount/JCU/WIAC/CCIW agreement for a rotating powerhouse matchup slate. Far fetched, I am sure.

How about a Mount/Linfield Home & Home?

Happy for Cortland.

Happy for D3.

Happy for Mount's legacy.

Hopeful for Mount's future.

From what I am hearing, I don't think we can completely remove Kappas from the Mount coaching wish list, but I think we can put him in the "wouldn't it be nice" category.

If we are talking about former players who would be great fits for the OC, a couple names that come to mind are:
- Jason Lewis (would have to pluck from the Berg)
- Taurice Scott (not a far commute!)
- Cam West (doubtful due to running a successful HS program)
- Nick Sirianni (Tush Push is legal at the D3 level I think)

Cortland put up 58 points and 648 yds.  That's a really tough pill to swallow after 20 pts last week.  It is what it is.

Cortland was 9 of 9 in the red zone....oh my....

I'm just a lowly accountant but I believe even if those were all FG that's more than 20 points.  I'll double check on the 10 key though.

As an engineer, I can confirm your FG math is correct.

I knew this day was coming when the LK shine is gone.  Just never expected it to be to an Alma.  And one that gave up 58 to Cortland.  That's an ugly way to die.

You and Ric said it for years, that MUC Football post-LK wouldn't have the continued championship dominance.

You knew.

More respect for LK than ever before.

Who is responsible for posting Mount highlights from the previous game? Can't figure out why it takes so long to get them up...aside from Lenny no longer being involved. The BW game was a week ago and I can't find any. I seem to recall them being available within a couple days of the actual game in previous years.

Anyway, while looking for them I looked at the previous title game highlights. Ballard was good but Borchert was amazing. Almost forgot about Adamson but he could sling it to. It was fun to reminisce watching VK, big Jason Hall, Campbell, Siriani, Knapp, Moore and Pugh, Golate, Smeck, Kmic...legends all.

Who from this Mount team will we still discuss 10, 20, ? years from now?

I know we'll remember Plunk. But if he doesn't win a title this year, we'll remember him for all the wrong reasons.

I think we'll remember Ruby. Especially if he makes the leap to Sundays.

I also thought Rossy Moore, but then I started thinking about guys like Justen Stickley and Mike Gibbons, guys like that who were incredible players but eventually blend in with the rest of the greats. But Rossy still has time.

Wasn't the son-in-law supposed to be an offensive genius?

This vanilla offense stuff is going to get an offensive star hurt by playing in 4th quarters against crap teams still playing hard, no offense Defiance or Etta

Was it me or did it seem like they were intentionally being slow and methodical?  Huddling up between plays, taking their time, not a ton of throws downfield, etc.

Wish they'd go back to LK's philosophy of shaping the plays around the players. Seems to be the opposite the past few years. And it's cost them.

Generally not in the business of complimenting UWW on anything, but the jerseys they were wearing against SJU were straight fire. Great look IMO.

Hard to imagine any scenario where Barrett isn't starting tomorrow.

I don't peruse the page like I once did but I just spent a few minutes catching up on the last 5 or so pages and wondered if the OAC still has any other teams besides Mount Union?  The thread is the "all things Mount" rumor board.  lol

Sorry.  Back to your Purple Raiders content...

Good to see you, reality check. Hopefully your bears give you reason to come around more often.

another former EBC back that looks interesting is transfer Steven Marra from Ashland, by way of West Branch.  6' 206 is a nice change up from the smaller backs that Mount has been running out there lately.

Marra is a bruiser. Was a heck of a wrestler too. Outstanding pickup for Mount. Could see him contributing right away.

The Carrollton kid is intriguing for sure. Has some Kmic to him. He was the entire Carrollton offense these past few years and led them to some good wins in a conference dominated by high level QB play.

Saw on social media AJ Shorts is having surgery to remove a brain tumor. Prayers up to him and the Shorts family!

Yup. Love Ruby, but Pierre was playing a different game.

Derrick Bradley participated in Toledo's Pro Day. Unsure on other MUC participants.
