Trine commit:   Connor Jones      6'3 G      Danville HS     Danville Indiana.

Was a one time D1 Northern Kentucky commit.  Not sure what happened with that offer whether it was rescinded or not.  On the "top60" list of Senior HS basketball players in the State of Indiana.  So far I am liking this class coming in.
The old NKU coach just took the job at Cincinnati. I'm assuming he de-committed and/or the new coach decided to get his own players and rescinded it.

Makes me wonder if Trine will end up as a one-year holding place for him.

Yeah. Maybe he'll declare for the NBA draft 😂😂

Quote from: Dave 'd-mac' McHugh on May 21, 2019, 12:32:21 AMAs I have written here before - coaches hired in the recent history of Calvin are no longer required to carry a full teaching load as well as full-time coaching.
When (years, or who) did a Calvin coach also teach a full-load (24 credit hours)?

Quote from: Happy Calvin Guy on May 21, 2019, 01:57:54 PMMy academically rigorous Calvin transcript actually includes courses taken from Ralph Honderd (PE 104), Ed Douma (golf), and Kevin VandeStreek (weightlifting)... there aren't too many other alumni who can make that distinctive claim.
Rare indeed.

St. Thomas officially tossed from the MIAC for being too good. "The MIAC Presidents' Council cited athletic competitive parity in the conference as a primary concern."

And they can't beat Calvin in football no matter how good they are 😳

They're refinishing and repainting the floor at Alma.  Looks nice.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but Calvin is doing the same this off season.

It's probably part of the rigorous rebranding process to Calvin University.

He was considering Hope College as well

Hope was in the fold, but I am told that the serious considerations were to Mount Union, Baldwin Wallace, and Ohio Wesleyan (he had connections to all 3).

That's a really good schedule I think.  Highlighted by the Dec visit from Loras
