Merry Christmas to the northern posters. Hope to cross paths with Duff, Sagatag, etc in the future (maybe celebrating another Knight victory :)). Have a great holiday season with your families. Duff good luck to your little guy (& coach Duff) with the grappling.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Stay safe and see you in September at UWW.
After his second touchdown catch in a record-setting day, St. John's receiver Will Gillach pointed skyward. That, folks, was for former head coach John Gagilardi. The legendary coach of the Johnnies for 60 seasons and 64 in college overall died Sunday. He was 91. His 489 victories are most in college football history in any division.

Well, the offseason is officially upon us as the crew at d3boards has shifted the football boards down the main page and moved basketball up. I've been posting on the MIAC Basketball board. The Johnnies sit atop the leaderboard and appear to be the early conference favorites, but there are some intriguing schools hanging around the lead. Both Carleton and Macalester are tied for second just a half game behind the Johnnies.

I saw that the Johnnie pumpkin pushers thumped Linfield before Christmas.

At least we have beer, ice fishing, beer, wrestling etc. Oz has to wait about three months for Aussie Rules.   ;D

I'll be able sleep my way there with cricket season.  Most boring sporting contest ever invented by man or beast.

I'm in Las Vegas for a couple days with the family. I hope I don't come across too harsh to the Vegas lovers but this place is too much for me. Too many people, too much noise and just too much.  I must say that Ceasar’s Palace makes the whole town, though. That may be the most outrageously over the top place I have ever seen.  In a town dedicated to excess it takes the crown and stands easily at the top of the hill.

That being said, I'm back here in just three weeks for a work convention.

For several years I worked a convention in Vegas. I hate Vegas. Everything is fake. People are fake. Body parts are fake. More than one day in Vegas and I get really cranky.

I would meet with people from all over the world. I always felt obligated to tell them that Las Vegas was not a representation of the USA.

Body parts are fake.

To quote Jack Black's character from Shallow Hal, "Well, I could squeeze 'em.  That's real enough for me."

I have a few friends that really enjoy Vegas for the sports betting atmosphere.

As for me, I'm with ROR. It's all fake overpriced sh**.
