Curious if any Pointer fan has booked their Fort Wayne area hotel for next year's Final Four yet. They are scheduled to win it next year...2005, 2010 and 2015.

Could possibly change....but as of now, Bublitz is planning on graduating with the recruiting class he came in with and not using the 5th year.  Which is why last year and this year's recruiting class was so important.  Last year UWSP lost a bunch of their top targets and settled for an extremely sub par class.  This year has to be a homerun or they will be competing at the cellar of the WIAC.

Now that the NCAA investigation has finally been resolved on favorable terms for UWSP, one would think that Semling and his staff would be able to make more headway on the recruiting trail.

I'm sure there was plenty of negative recruiting being used against UWSP on that front and had an effect on their sub par recruiting the last couple years, I would argue not having a full time assistant after Dernbach left was a bigger detriment.  They were handcuffed in that regard while on the road recruiting.  Dernbach also "stole" a couple of UWSP's top targets last year.

From listening to Radio Shows and hearing from Hockett first hand, I have a lot of confidence in him getting some momentum going for UWSP recruiting.  It could be coach speak as far as Hockett being his current assistant and why would he say anything else, but Semling mentioned that Hockett is his best recruiting assistant coach he's ever had on staff.  If that's true, that's a glowing report because Dernbach got the job done recruiting.

Safe to say...yes...but I can't verify 100 percent...could just have the same last name and go to the same school.

Smitty Oom

And be the same height and both play basketball and decide to play collegiately at the same school... that would be quite the coincidence if they aren't twins!
