What the heck BigPoppa, no predictions this year as to what the initial rankings might look like?   :'(

I am clueless as to what it will look like this year... so much parity in the region this season. I have a feeling the Central Rankings won't mater much to those who don't win the Pool A bids. I can see a few out-of-region teams being shipped in due to higher statuses within the NCAA's eyes.

My Best Guess:
1. WashU
2. St. Norbert
3. IWU
4. Webster
5. Wartburg
6. Augustana
7. Spalding
8. Wheaton
9. Buena Vista

Appreciate you taking a "stab" at them!!!  I do agree with you about teams getting shipped in, but it will be interesting to see from where, as I wouldn't be surprised if the WIAC was a one-bid league this season.

I still think the WIAC is a two-bid league at this point... with one of them likely shipping into the Central.(Whitewater and Oshkosh)... I can also see a third making a push for a bid if things fall the right way.

I feel like the Central is down this season with no one in the Top 25 outside of WashU.

If that's the case, that means said WIAC team will have a minimum of 15 losses when they are at the Pool C table, unless Whitewater ends up being knocked off twice in the WIAC Tournament.

15 Losses for a WIAC team is different than 15 elsewhere... and the NCAA knows that.

Looks like La Crosse held in higher regard compared to UWO in NCAA eyes as of today....

I just didn't have the order... I think St. Norbert is better than people think. Still, SNC at #8 is irrelevant as the MWC is a one-bid league regardless.

Gonna guess that has something to do with SoS at this point.

Central Region Rankings-Week #2
1.     Wash U.
2.   Wartburg
3.   Webster
4.   Illinois Wesleyan
5.   Augustana (Illinois)
6.   Spalding
7.   St. Norbert
8.   Buena Vista

Same eight teams as last week, however Spalding drops from #3 to #6, while Webster, Illinois Wesleyan, and Augustana all climb up a spot.

St. Norbert and Buena Vista flip-flop, likely on the strength of the Green Knights non-conference extra-inning victory last Thursday over Concordia-Wisconsin, who is ranked #5 in the Midwest Region.

Central Region Rankings-Week #3
1.   Wash U.
2.   Wartburg
3.   Webster
4.   Augustana
5.   North Central (Illinois)
6.   Greenville
7.   Wheaton (Illinois)
8.   Dubuque

So the Top 3 stay the same as Week #2, Illinois Wesleyan drops from #4 to out off the rankings completely, Augustana climbs one spot to #4, North Central goes from being unranked to #5, and Greenville, Wheaton and Dubuque replace Spalding, St. Norbert and Buena Vista at #6-8.

Provided things fall the right way, could the CCIW be a two-bid league? It seems the NCAA thinks so.
