He might see that post.  Otherwise, you're SOL.  We can't do anything for you, as fellow posters.

Thanks a lot Old School. I was wishfully thinking that Gibson might still be around when picking 12th. Looking at scoring, I thought I maybe had a chance.

He wouldn't have been there after the 9th pick, my pick in the 2nd round.  :P

It was between him and Ask, and with the number of frontcourt players already taken, I thought I might be able to get a guard with my next pick..... plus I knew there was NO WAY you would let him go. :P

It's Christmas and I'm on the computer! Wahoo!  I guess it helps that I'm not doing Christmas with the family until later in the week, so there!

This drafting of players is a lot harder than I thought it would be.  I'm spending a lot more time on the WIAC stats page than I ever thought I would.
Anyway, I honestly didn't think Beamish would go in the 2nd round.  Not to take anything away from him, but he isn't great at one thing...he's just pretty solid in nearly every position.  He's 4th in scoring on his team, leads his team in blocks (9), a lot of steals for a big man (leads SP with 16), a good A/TO (ratio 25:11) and has a decent rebound average (3.6).  Avctually as I type this, I'm more impressed with him!  I think there are more big men to go around, so I probably would've taken a guard anyway...so you would've gotten Beamish on the way back in the 3rd.  It still upsets me! lol.

If any of you remember, last year I was kind of on Beamish's case for not shooting when I thought he should.  This year, to start the season, Swampgoon and I questioned why he was starting...but, he's been awesome to say the least and I hope one of my friends actually stops boycotting Pointer games because he "doesn't like Beamish"...maybe because he's from Wisconsin Rapids (Rapids and Point are high school rivals)...this guy also mentioned the time when Beamish came to a Pointer game while he was a recruit and he felt he "kind of had an attitude"...anyway, that's neither here or there.  He's a stud!

And I know some Pointer players and WIAC players read this and probably are saying, "Wow, I went in the 1st round!" lol  :P

The way the league is set-up, you need to win as many categories as you can to beat your opponent.  I figured since he contributes in all of them, why not take him?  Who cares if I outscore my opponent in points, but get killed in the rest of the categories?  I still lose that week......  Just some reasoning to my selection......

Does anyone know why he has missed a bunch of games for Superior??  Was he injured or what??  I noticed he came off the bench in Superiors last game.

I'll agree with your reasoning.  Like I said, as I was typing the Beamish post, I was even more impressed with his stats!  Sometimes, you want to draft a guy because his is by far and away the best at a certain category and then chips in in other categories.  Take Rortvedt for example.  He's the best 3-pt shooter in the league, but he doesn't really do too much else (stat-wise and fantasy-wise).  I consider him more of a shooting guard, rather than a small forward.  He gets some rebounds (4th on the team in rebounds) and only has six assists, though he has a decent number of steals (10).  Obviously I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but as fantasy player, he doesn't really offer that much, aside from possibly winning the 3-pt. category on his own.  In baseball, steals are like that...taking Juan Pierre or someone like that, simply for his steals.

I'm not sure about Leonard Cobb.  I was curious about that as well.  He had to have been injured...I don't know if we have an reps from Superior that can tell us what's up...I definitely thought about taking him, but wasn't sure about his injuries or whatever.

9. Old School-Chris Ask: Lax
10. Mythical Bird- Leonard Cobb UWS
11. Point Special- Chris Fehrenbach

Nice pick PS.  I was either going to take Ask or Fehrenbach.  The latter has a lot more 3-pters and less turnovers.  More points for Ask, better rebounding average and actually has 8 blocks to Fehrenbach's zero.  I guess I'm giving up on the 3-pt category!  I have a total of EIGHT three pointers between my two players thus far!  ??? ::)

Broken nose from what I had heard.  He should be posting his usual numbers by the time the conference season rolls around.  I HOPE!

I was excited because I didn't see your pick of Ask... He was going to be my next pick.  When you'd picked him Fehrenbach was the next guy on my list.  I've basically just ranked the guys that I want, so we'll see what happens in a round or two when they're all gone!!

I originally didn't take Ask, but switched prior to Mythicalbird taking his pick...

When you run out of your players on your "cheetsheet," that's when you handcuff your starter's backup and select them.  So, be sure to do that! lol  :o
