Top 25 class of 2023 prospect Jamariea Dalton (6-2) of Fond du Lac has committed to Oshkosh. Dalton averaged 21.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in 2022-23 while leading the Cardinals to the Fox Valley Association championship.  This is a huge get for the Titans.

Big day on the recruiting trail for the WIAC.

Boy, Dernbach and Lewis are great recruiters. A cut above the rest right now.

Miller silent, but good.

Gard tailing off a bit maybe.

Looks like Ryan Kane is already busy making the transition to Carthage. Stout coach Jim Lake stepped in as NCAA site rep in Oshkosh. Lake is our RAC member.

Curious who will be our Region 9 representative on the national committee next season.

Northwestern coach now our national committee member.

I believe this isn’t great for the WIAC. Someone not seeing the WIAC often and not integrated in Wisconsin won’t fight that hard for WIAC at the table.

Wheaton schedule: Non cons vs BenU, vs Lake Forest, vs Pfund Classic (Alma, Heidelberg, Piedmont), at Calvin, at Chicago, and at Wooster Tournament.

That’s eight. Still room for one more.

Since last post a game at Transylvania has been added Thanksgiving Saturday. Long six hour trip for a single game.

All nine games in now.

It was so brutal this year Oshkosh is doing a redo on their SID search after just one year.

With a salary of $34-46K, do they really think they are going to attract someone who is good, much less that will stay beyond using UWO as a stepping stone.  Pay a decent salary you might get a quality person with media experience that really gets it!!!  At that pay, keep on the revolving door/treadmill.

This is exactly it. Being a good SID is a lot of work and a lot of hours. Pay is way too low to get any quality.

Point bows out, losing to Whitewater 9-1. Point goes to Pool C. I think they should be in, but seed might not be great after an 0-2 weekend.

Looking forward to Oshkosh and La Crosse. 1-0 game in four team double elimination is so so so huge.

La Crosse walks off Whitewater on a two run error, 14-4 in seven.

I think I maybe posted the same thing last year. But, I'm of the belief that the day one winners should play first on day two, so they have some rest time for game 5 if they lose the 1-0 game.

13
Long road back in the losers bracket for the hosts as Oshkosh beats Point 5-3. Fifth time was the charm.
