Grove City had to go to OT to beat the team that doesn't exist.  I can back up Hopefan's assertions.  We did some investigating over the break, including correspondence with the man who's currently caretaker for Ohio Midwestern's records - the school hasn't existed, legally or otherwise since 2016.  They played at least one game last season and these two this year, but if there's some other school using the name, there's no record of it anywhere.

It's an interesting case - more a curiosity than anything else.  I can't figure out what someone would have to gain by pretending to be a college to play basketball?

If the "institution" doesn't exist can the games really count in the W/L records of their D3 opponents?

Apparently the UN-School dressed only six players, and two fouled out.  They still had a last second shot to win.  That would have been quite a story.
Realistically, I don't believe this will count in Grove City's record.

Maybe they're in it for the financial rewards - hotel rooms and a pizza meal. ::)

Carroll U has a nice 4-teamer the weekend of Nov 12. Dubuque, Whitman and NCC are part of it.

IWU has Stevens Point, Yeshiva and Webster the same weekend.

Wabash hosts the Great Lakes Invite. 8 games in 2 days the weekend of Nov. 19. Trine, Benedictine, Baldwin-Wallace, Rose-Hulman, Keene State, Maryville and Marietta round out the 8-team tournament.

I mention these because I'm considering hitting Friday night's Carroll U's games, then driving down to Bloomington to watch my Pointers Saturday and Sunday. The following weekend would be the another 5 hour trip to Crawfordsville.

I talk a big game, so we'll see if any of this happens. To see 14 games over the course of 2 weekends would be pretty epic.

Speaking of good ol days, I did look into doing my 3 games in 3 cities in one day trip. Unfortunately, most weekend Saturday games are scheduled for 2, 3, 4 or 5 pm. I can get an early afternoon game and then a 5 pm game but basically no one plays 7 pm games anymore. I did an Oshkosh ( 1pm) - Carroll U (4 pm)- Carthage (7:30 pm) trip. Most of Carthage home Saturday games are at 4 pm, yet most of their away games are 7 pm. WIAC (Oshkosh) are early afternoon, as are NACC (Lakeland, Marian, any Milwaukee area schools) CCIW games (Carroll, Carthage) and MWC (Ripon).are also afternoon tilts. Oh well.
