Posted on an exciting Emory 5-set win over West Georgia (will check for other action).

ODAC:  A VA Wes win over Salisbury.

USA South:  A then-ARV Mary Baldwin 3 set win over Hollins.

SAA:  Covenant's upset win over then-ranked BSC.

9/26/21 SAA Finals:

Centre over Oglethorpe 3 sets to nil:

ARV BSC over Hendrix 3 sets to nil:

Millsaps over Rhodes 3 sets to 2. Majors-- 27 total blocks and outhit Rhodes .103 to .000 in Set 5 to get the win.
                                                               If this is counted as in-conference, the Majors also get off the schneid.     

#13 Berry over Sewanee 3 sets to nil. Berry keeps pace with BSC.

Final:  #16 NYU knocks off #7 Emory in 4 sets:
                    (25-14, 13-25, 25-21, 25-23.)

NYU:  8 total blocks (to Eagles' 3) 16 block assists (to Eagles' 6). 2 players with .462 or better hitting pct.
Emory:  Luong .778 hitting pct. 32 assists, 10 digs.

USA South Athletic Conference Action (Meredith vs. NC Wesleyan) up shortly.  Will see if the Avenging Angels do the double on the day. (They knocked off Averett in a 5 setter earlier today.)

Final:  Meredith over NC Wesleyan in 3 sets:
              (25-15, 25-22, 25-8)

Avenging Angels:  8 service aces Dees .667 hitting pct. Bissette .500 hitting pct.
                             
Meredith is now in 3rd place, behind Wm. Peace and S VA in the East Division, in good shape, but still a lot of in-conference play left yet.

USA South Final:  S VA holds off upset minded Greensboro in 5 sets:
                                   (20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8)

S VA:  Outhit Greensboro .238 to -.118 in Set 5 to get the win.

Other USA South In-Conference Winners:

Meredith (over Methodist in 3 sets)
Averett (over Mary Baldwin in 3)
Wm. Peace (over NC Wes in 3)

Greensboro and NC Wes missed out on chances to get to .500 in-conference tonight.

Updates:

ODAC: W&L, Randolph-Macon, VA Wesleyan, Bridgewater, Lynchburg, Eastern Mennonite and Roanoke have clinched conference tournament playoff spots. Either Ferrum or Shenandoah will tie Guilford for the last spot. If Ferrum wins, Guilford gets in. If Shenandoah wins, Shenandoah gets in.
       Update: Shenandoah got the last ODAC playoff spot.

SAA:  Berry has the top seed. BSC, Hendrix, and Centre are 2-4. After that, there's a 5-game drop-off to Sewanee.

USA South:  East Division:  Southern VA, Wm Peace and Meredith are in a real dogfight for the top spot. Averett, at 11-5, is in a good position.
                  West Division:  Maryville-TN has clinched the top spot; Covenant, Berea, and Huntingdon are all in good positions.

USA South Update:  East Division: Southern VA gets a bye, Meredith, Wm Peace, Averett and Pfeiffer are in..
                              West Division:  Maryville-TN gets a bye, Covenant, Berea, Huntingdon and Brevard are in.
