truly incredible how the CNU player was able to create so much space for the winning layup, like an extended arm's length of space

I was impressed with how the 6’8” Barber drove down the court!

no doubt, the Captains could use that kind of stiff arm on the gridiron next year

Haha. Except he had both hands on the ball as he went up. Far from a stiff arm.

 Barber did travel on that drive; his left foot was on the floor when he gathered the ball, stepped with the right then the left again before shooting; once you lift your pivot foot, you have to release the ball before touching down with it again.

Actually, the entire game was like that. The refs let them both be physical and let them play. I was concerned early on that it might get chippy. Kudos to both teams for understanding how the refs were calling it and just playing the game accordingly.
