Saxon 73.  All of your points are well-taken.  My main concern defensively is, after being injured against Morrisville, can Leo Pamphile go?  I haven't heard anything but he is crucial in our sack numbers this season.

I was there yesterday, Bartman and we were dominated in all phases of the game.  We played them much better last year up at their place.  I am trying to figure out if we are much worse or they are much better than last year.  I suppose both can be true.  Their speed is unreal reminding me of watching Mount in the Pit two years ago.  Though the Mount did not dominate us like that.  What a whipping!!

Thank you bports!!  I just thought I would try to joke around with him.  I think that both teams had better get there chin straps tight on Saterday!!

You are right.  Alfred's lead probably won't be 28 by halftime!!

Can someone explain what Alfred was up to?

I mean, stick with what works, right? But one pass, thrown by the kicker? Casey Boston played, so they had a QB. Were they going for some record? It sort of seems odd to me

Well, Bombers, I was there and as in  last year's game when we threw only 11 passes it was clear they could not stop the run.  We have been prone to throwing interceptions and Coach Rankl, I am sure, just loathes that.  Hence, why pass when they can't stop the run.  And they're BAAD against the run.  Just my take.

Congratulations to the 2017 Empire 8 champion Brockport Golden Eagles....and prayers for both Bport and AU QBs.

Brockport 35, Alfred 25.
Pep,
The Saxon Warriors played their hearts out against a great team and almost pulled it off......I hope both QB's are OK.

Bartman,

In each of AU's losses this season it was interceptions that killed us.  I believe that we would have been in position to win each of them w/out the interceptions.  We could have lost each, but would have been close enough to win.  GRRR!!!  And, yes, congratulations to Brockport!!

Couple things.  I, too, look forward to the AU-Brockport game.  However, I am nervous about next week at Fisher.  I get that Fisher is down this year.  But they are mad as hell I'm sure and would love nothing better than taking us down a peg or two.  And we have not won there since '09.  Like last year, I hope (and actually believe) that the Saxons focus on Saterday and only Saterday each week.  If they can continue to do that, I think they will be fine.  Coach Rankl has done a superb job.

Bengalsrule.  Are you going to make it down to Mayberry?  I love it when there are lots of visitors.  If you make it, come say hello.  Row 13,  50 yard line.   8-)

Just got back from AU game.  We clearly miss Fuentes in the lineup.  I hope we had playoff jitters or a letdown from last week's emotional win.  Or maybe the opponent was under respected or we are not as good as we think.  But I have said about this team all year that they never stop playing.  That tenacity was why we won today.  But we could easily have lost.   Look forward to a cleaner performance next week against Western New England.
