We have added several new players, too.

It is good to see the players develop.

Amanda Peters and Erica Rawls are playing like veterans.

Anna Berthel seems to have gotten better as have Precious Williams, Jordan Stansell, Stacy Hailey and Jennifer Wells.

I can see real promise in freshman point guard, Rikeita Thomas.

We have gotten good minutes out of LaPorsha Alexander and Kelsey Lindemuth.

I like this team.  I rattled off 10 names there, too.

It is too bad to have to make the Mississippi College road trip this early in the season.  These women have only played 4 games now.  The 1-3 start is not indicative of this team.

Watch out for LaCollege!  They are good!

LC beat HSU 63-51 tonight!

Good McMurry defense against STBU.  With less than 8 minutes left in the game, McM has held ETBU to 8 points in the second half.  McMurry leads 54-33.

3:34 left in the game and ETBU has gone on a 10-0 run.  Score is McM 54-43.

Final McM 66  ETBU 51.

Halftime  McM 41 TLU 33.

So far, McMurry has gotten 5 more turnovers and 10 more rebounds than TLU.

The Lady Bulldogs have some real talent on the floor.

McMurry at HPU.  McMurry leads 13-12, HPU ball with 10 minutes left.

Well played game at the Mausoleum, according to the venerable voice of HPU athletics, Dallas Huston.

HPU has a 7-0 run to go ahead 21-15.   7:25 left.  HPU seems to be finishing its shots better and giving up fewer turnovers, according to Dallas Huston.  Time out McMurry.

Unfortunately, Brownwood is one of those areas on the Verizon map of the continental US that you see on the commercials where there is no 3G coverage.  Therefore, McMurry is unable to video-stream the game.

HPU 28-21, 3:25 left.  Neither team has missed a FT.

HPU 31-21 but McMurry misses a last second shot but closes to 33-28 at the half.

HPU opens with a 3FG and then McMurry goes on a 8-0 run to tie at 36 with 16:36 left in the game.

HPU 42 McM 38,  13:30 left.

McM 51, HPU 46. 8:50 left.

HPU 57, McM 56, 4:17 left.  Hohertz hits a pair to make it HPU 59-56.
HPU 62, McM 56 on a 3FG by HPU's Hobbs to make an 8-0 run, 3:28 left.
HPU 64, McM 58, Hope Hohertz gets her first FG and then a steal.
HPU 64, McM 60. 1:40 left, McMurry ball...

ARRRGGGHHHH.  Gotta leave.

HPU pulls away at the end
Final HPU 71 McM 62.

Brownwood has 3G coverage, not 100% sure about the coliseum.

As I understand it, we (McMurry SID/tech people) have been unable to use a Verizon card to videostream games from HPU.

Or maybe we are still having fun kidding the HPU people about the Mausoleum.

First, the old ABA floor, then the toilet paper and now 21st Century communications...  ;)

(You know, the Mausoleum.  The one with the National Championship banner in the rafters.  I am still proud of that for you and for us in the ASC.)

Great win today by the Lady Jackets.  Other than some silly turnoves they played outstanding.  It helped that there wasnt much of a home crowd other than a couple of guys in their underwear.  Luckily the big guy didnt take his shirt off or we would have all gone blind!

I think those were the swimmers.

The Swim team has been prominent among McMurry fans this season.
