way to bash a coach that holds pretty much every offense record in that league...also im sure we all see coaches turn a 2-8 program into a 10-0 program in one year...have a little respect

Just because he has a tough schedule and needs to be told when to put on a jacket, that's not really bashing, is it?

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

But if he turns a 2-8 team into a 1-9 team, can we bash him then?

You'll never get it ... the hints: one was terry kunze, the former ABA Minn. Muskie, who coached my brother, who was later played FB at a pre-MIAC Carleton. (I spent winters on ice with stunningly mediocre results.) Longtime hoops coach there before that was a former Johnnie named Lutz.

Before 1970 when they divided the schools into two classes, District 16 always seemed a little bit like Hoosiers. It had Anoka on the south end, which at the time was one of the biggest schools in the state, ranging up to tiny towns like Isle, Onamia, Ogilvie, with 30-40 kids in a class. Would have been interesting to see how an old District 16 team -- Braham -- would do in a one-class state tourney last season (if they could stay out of the Aster Art :) )

Man, do I feel old now.

Mora Mustangs.

And you are making me feel old too.

Lone Auggie Backer

---Auggie Tech fans, you are cordially invited to attend the tailgate party. It is located in the parking lot behind the library just above the scoreboard end of the field. Bring along a culinary delight to share. Starting time will be 10:00 a.m. The party goes to 12:30 p.m.---

Any chance any of those famous burgers will still be around after the game.  I don't think Coach would appreciate me joining ya'll for a pregame burger on saturday, but, would love to experience firsthand these famous burgers!  Besides, I'll need something to help me warm up after the game on saturday-- Sounds like it's going to be a cold one!

Any idea about crowd numbers for Saturday?  I understand that it is your guys' senior day.  That will probably mean that grandma and grandpa will be there too? so maybe bigger numbers than normal?

Looking forward to the game,  even when the odds are stacked against us so much, it is still playing football on a saturday.  Life could be worse!  Good luck to all, stay healthy.

p.s.  Stop by after the game, burger in hand, and chat for a bit.  I cannot make it to the other festivities to meet all of you, but could get to know who you Johnnie fans are after the game!   #9
Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Touchdown Tommy

ROR,

Watch it!!

PowerBall note: Since the winning ticket was allegedly purchased in McMinnville Oregon for the 340 million dollar jackpot, it reminds me of the lunch ladies in Holdingford who won a couple years ago.  Anyone know if they are still working?  Maybe Dietrich Reinhart should add them to the Board of Regents so the Johnnies could get a replay scoreboard from Daktronics and a private jet to fly around the country for games!!!

3,

I don't feel like engaging in an argument of rhetoric with you.  Will leave the discussion where it lays.

FYI, this is  ripped off and improved upon from the IIAC board. Initial credit goes to a writer at the Cedar Rapids Gazette. There's usualy one of these every year, but there always a bit of fun :

St. Olaf beats Luther, which beats Wartburg . . .  Coe, Central, Augustana (Ill), Catholic, La Salle, St. Francis (PA), Central Conn. St, Colgate, UMass, Rhode Island, William and Mary, New Hampshire, UC-Davis,  Stanford, Navy, Air Force, SDSU, BYU, New Mexico, Missouri, ISU, Iowa.

AO is going to love this!  :D    The coach who holds many of the offensive records in the league isn't even in the MIAC.  He coaches at Northwestern!!!

I'm not trying to be disrespectful of Haege, but by the same token, it's not as if I'm photoshopping anything. It is what it is, and like it or not, it's what will stick with him.  He has the chance to start "over" at Augsburg, but he also will take the heat for what happened.  MLV still gets ribbing for alleged bottle throwing, Haege did something embarrassing during a football game.  Gags gets ribbing for being old; it just goes with the territory!

It's also not as though Augsburg was at the depths that Macalester floats in.  Augsburg is less than 10 years removed from a MIAC championship and post-season win, and when full, Edor Nelson can be an intimidating place.
