Wheaton leads Platteville 47-33 at the half. Francis leading all scorers with 31 (!!!) on 9-15 from the field, 5-10 from 3, and 8-8 at the line. Wheaton shooting 100% from the stripe. Platteville students chanting "one man team" whenever Aston has the ball in his hands, which would be clever if he weren't torching them and almost out scoring their entire team by himself.

At the half up in the Lead City, Wheaton leads UW-Platteville, 46-33.

Aston Francis has 31 points on 9-15 shooting, including 5-10 from downtown, and a perfect 8-8 from the line. Late in the half, the frustrated UWP student section began chanting, "One-man team! One-man team!" at Francis every time that he touched the ball. The first time that they did it, Francis hit Adom for a successful drive to the basket. The second time they did it, Francis dropped a 26-footer on the Pioneers. Then, when Wheaton came down the floor with the ball in the last ten seconds, they chanted it again. The Pioneers knocked a Francis pass out of bounds, and, with less than a second left on the clock, Francis hit a turnaround 24-footer off of the inbound.

Sometimes, if you're a student section, you have to learn from your mistake and redirect your taunting energies elsewhere.

Gotta think UWP doubles Francis in the 2nd?   That was fun to watch.

UWP enjoyed an early lead before Francis got hot because they were bodying up Wheaton pretty successfully. If I'm Jeff Gard, I'm telling my kids in the locker room to start playing some smashmouth and to make Wheaton pay every time that it goes inside.

The Pioneers were also doing a good job of beating Wheaton up the floor early on, but I think that Mike Schauer got in some of his people's ears at a timeout. UWP wasn't getting easy transition points in the last eight or nine minutes of the half.

According to the scoreboard in the arena, Francis had 34 at the half... wonder if a bucket by someone else got credited to him?

NCC is blowing the doors off of Wheaton at King, 47-24 at the half. The Cards were up by as much as 30 in the first half.

Carroll is leading IWU late in the first half, 36-30.

Carroll leads Wesleyan at the half at Shirk, 46-39.

Carroll lead by ten halfway thru the half, then IWU exploded for 10 straight points.  After that things were back and forth, but Carroll hit about a 65 foot bank shot at the buzzer.  Brady Rose has 17 points, but is not getting much help (Colin Bonnett is second with 7).

Wheaton is on a massive run, trimming the NCC lead down to 10 with 11 and change to go.

NCC @ WC is stalled at 69-56 in favor of the Cards with 1:19 left while a Cardinal is attended to on the floor by medical staff.

Wesleyan can't shake Carroll. The Pios lead the Titans at Shirk by three with a little over four minutes to go.

Carthage leads Eastern Connecticut State, 40-37, at the half at Barry University in Miami.

Jordon Kedrowski, who is 4-6 from behind the arc, leads the way for the Red Men with 14, and he also has seven rebounds. Kienan Baltimore is also in double figures with 10 points.

Carthage was up by 11 with eight minutes to go, but then the Warriors got hot from downtown and made it a seesaw game again.

North Central leads Albion at the half, 40-35, over on the other side of the lake.

Matt Cappelletti had a big half with 14 points, while a surprising Jack Bronec put in 10 on perfect 4-4 shooting.

Manchester leads Elmhurst at the half, 32-28, in Indiana. The Bluejays were outhustled, plain and simple, throughout most of the half by a team that isn't very good. The 'jays finally showed some energy towards the end, but their offense has nevertheless been ineffective. Both teams have missed a pile of layups and bunnies, and neither team is doing well from long range, either, but Man U has been, well, less bad thus far.

Jake Rhode has ten points and five rebounds, and for large chunks of the first half it appeared that he was the only player moving when Elmhurst had the ball.
