Nice Win Cats!  This team looks incredible!

Good Luck to the NWC!!  As long as WU wins their second game I will be happy.

I know, I know. One game at a time, but I do not want to see St. J or UWW in the West Final again.

This could not have been a more disappointing season for me.  I had back surgery 4 days before I move to Oregon; 13 days before I have to start working again because my new school district would not allow me time off.  My weekends were spent on rest and rehab, leaving me no time to go catch a Cats' game.  By the time I am healthy enough to come watch a game, it is the playoffs and we played our way out them again.

Now MU looks unstoppable, not even leaving the glimmer of hope that someone else will win the Title.

Next season please! :(

I am impressed with the vast improvement on Defense over the last couple weeks for the Cats.  That has got to frighten Linfield's remaining teams a little.

Reminds me a bit of the 98 Defense that dominated all season.

Don't forget the aspect of Financial Assistance.  I applied to Whitworth, L&C and Linfieldbe cause they each had strong academic reputations.  I had to cancel my recruiting trips to Whit and L&C because their financial packages were not even close to what I needed to attend a NWC school.  Linfield owes some of their success to their alumni for donating so much to the endowment, freeing up money for those in need.

All that quote says to me is that someone in the Linfield organization is finally admitting that Whitworth was the more talented team last year...finally, some closure  ;D

It just says that you of equal talent, not more talented.  Let's not get crazy here :)

I, like GHC, cannot make the game Saturday.  I would appreciate it if someone could swat a fly or two for me.

Good luck to the D, and O-line give our QB enough to throw dimes.

CATDOME South will be rockin!

Hey NWFan,

Thanks for coming out here. I now have more posts than at least one person. (For now)

The Fly is tricky, and one or two long runs are almost a guarantee, but it sure feels like the Linfield coaches figured out how to minimize the Fly years ago.

The Bearcats have not been within 11 points of the Cats since 1998.

I hope we still have the  magic formula to stop the Fly once again.

That was a great article.  The CatDome is truly a special place.  I loved the pic of the field and mountain backdrop.

D3 is a special place to be a football fan, and although this article was written about Linfield, I agree that fans all over D3 would show the same kind of respect and zeal for the D3 game.

Thanks for all you do for us D3 fans!

What's next?  Are the Lutes all going to get Perms when they the Cats for the added unity factor?

How does he keep his hair so 80's curly?

D-Train,

I used to post before they had this new fangled format.  I am old school yo!

I am  from the dark times of A.B. from Rat country...ooooh that was scary!

Foss,

Also don't forget the guy right before Mathews, Curt Musser was a heck of a QB. Undefeated regular season in 2000.

Oh crap! I brought up 2000,...Mud Bowl,...sorry  :'(

Hello Gentleman,

It has been a year or two since I have been on the Post Patterns, but since I now live in the great state of Oregon, I will have to be more involved.

I was not healthy enough yet to attend Saturday's game, but I was thrilled to see the outcome.  Hopefully I will be healthy enough to attend the WU game in two weeks.

Go Cats!
