Cortland '19 campaign opener Saturday in San Antonio now single game, and twinbill Sunday vs. host Trinity TX. Fickle weather causing some problems after temps in the 70s earlier this week and expected next week. However, weekend calls for 40s and rain Saturday, 50s and rain Sunday. Both programs highly ranked as usual.

RDragons lose much talent both hitting and pitching. Top mound returnees are lefties Jake Casey (50inn, 4-2, 3.55era) and Isiah Hudson (7-1, 48inn, 2.42ers. Interesting pitching pickup is ex-Oswego righthander Mitchell Cavanaugh -- '17 first team all-SUNYAC. Bats back include Colin BeVard (.306, 46games), Antonio Pregama (.355. 44g), Marco Perivolaris (.337, 33g), Joe Tardif (.400). Additions include touted Westchester CC imports Scott Giordano (.435, 7hr 40g and All-American honors) and Paul Franzese (.379, 7hr, 39g)

Cortland drops 9-8 opening contest to host Trinity TX in San Antonio where cool, damp conditions limit scheduled twinbill to single game. Hopeful for Sunday pair. Wyatt Myers and Giordano singles drive in fourth inning scores. Matt Valin pitches perfect first three innings. Myers' double delivers two and pair of throwing errors two more. Trinity Tigers with three errors.
