Oneonta after thrilling 9-8 win over Stevens Tech Ducks in the first game, RDragons absorb 10-5 loss in doubleheader action in New Jersey during Stevens' Senior Day.
          First Game: RDragon D. Beatty swats two-out home run in top of the 10th inning for the victory. Following blast Oneonta needs Houdini-type pitching save from J. McCarty in his second inning of work. Stevens puts first two batters in the 10th aboard on hit batters. Move into scoring position via bunt but McCarty strikes out next two batters, one looking, one swinging. After first two innngs Oneonta finds itself behind 5-0. Scores six unearned runs in the fifth. D. Lamonica two-run homer supplies RDragon 6-5 lead. Stevens ties in the bottom of the fifth and goes up 7-6 in the sixth. Oneonta pulls even in the seventh and holds 8-7 edge in the top of the ninth. Stevens' sac fly in the bottom of the ninth, then potential winning run thrown out at the plate from CF-to 1B-to Catcher. Cortland wins pair of suspense-filling games, 8-6 in 10 innings and 1-0 in seven, to clinch conference regular season crown and homefield for May 3-6 conference tourney. D. True but Oswego would've helped its potential at-large resume with a win over a regionally ranked team. Tough break for them.
