I see where Daniels was a regional HS AA in 2016 and 2017. Here's the latter list: http://pasoccercoaches.org/allamerica/allamericaboys2017.html. Change the date in the URL and you'll find the previous year.

At least three rising seniors on the Falcons were also regional HS AAs. All of them started as Freshmen. If that's a reliable indicator, then Daniels and Luke Groothoff (national AA) will be in the starting lineup this coming fall. Given Daniels' profile, he's got to be an attacker somewhere, perhaps even a winger opposite West, though I had been assuming that Alejos had that position locked up (and he still might). As for Groothoff, it's anyone's guess where he ends up. He can play any position other than keeper. My own best guess is that he plays in the back, either replacing 1st team AA CB Dakota Rosenberg or else outside back Josh Bender. Rosenberg was FAST, and the Falcons need someone with real speed to fill that role on the back line. Groothoff has the wheels to do that, so that's where I think he'll end up. Maybe Daniels is just as fast--I don't have evidence for that--but he's far too small for CB and his scoring numbers suggest that he's got to play up front.

The free kicks and other goals from way out are impressive! He brings a weapon the Falcons missed this past year, with Jacob Bender no longer around: the ability to be dangerous on direct kicks. Gotta have this kid in the lineup somewhere next year.

Speaking of set plays, I have a trivia question for anyone out there.

In 2017, Messiah earned 167 corner kicks and scored 62 goals. How may of those goals came off of corners?

(a) zero
(b) one
(c) two
(d) three

I'm going to say 0.  The few games I watched last year, they were terrible on set pieces (both offense and defense).

Zero it is. The adjective "terrible" is appropriate in this context. Can't possibly be worse next year. The two major weaknesses of that team were set pieces (either way, as you point out) and a shallow bench--however, toward the end of the season the second team actually got much better, as evidenced by their critical scores in the tournament. The 2016 team was much deeper, having several seniors on the bench instead of the relatively weak freshman class that constituted a good part of the bench in 2017. The bench will absolutely be significantly stronger next year, as the very talented newbies get experience and displace some of the rising sophomores. At least, that's my prediction.

Awesome work compiling the list of recruits/"commitments".  I really wish D3soccer.com was able to do this each season.  With ommadawn's initial help, I made a go of it in 2016--over-extended myself to do so when I should have already been phasing myself out of responsibilities with the website.  For this year it's not going to happen, but if anyone was interesting in working with the website next year to get a "commitment" list posted, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the right person(s).

Well, as a Messiah fan, there's seems to be even more reasons to be excited for the new season.  I like what I am seeing and hearing about some of the recruits.

Flying Weasel

Messiah has released their recruiting class: http://gomessiah.com/news/2018/3/26/messiah-mens-soccer-releases-schedule-roster-for-2018.aspx

The message board list has 6 of the 7, just missing Luke Kokolios, Midfielder, California, MD (Lenoardtown High School / Maryland United FC)

I thought announcing an incoming recruiting class was a D1 practice...didn't realize D3 schools did that...

Some do. You just have to approach a D3 recruiting-class announcement with a different mindset as you read it than you would with a D1 recruiting-class announcement. The D3 SID won't put this in the press release (unless it's in some cryptic form, such as "announced their intention to play for X College next fall", or words to that effect), but the implicit understanding is that this is a list of incoming potential student-athletes who have been accepted for admission and have paid their security deposits for the fall semester -- and that, just because they're on this list, they are in no way, shape, or form obligated to actually follow through and participate in that sport.

franklyspeaking

D3 schools, not all, but certainly many do in fact use twitter to announce incoming players.  These announcements come as early as October and at that time they may not have been accepted yet and certainly have not paid any portion of their tuition yet.

Gregory Sager

... and, as such, have even less validity than the spring press releases.
