Yeah, I read this as a workplace joke. All of my coworkers think it is cool that I went to Duke, but they clearly have as much fun as possible in giving me flak during Duke/Carolina week.

Wait, so your wife is a Mount alum, and you went to Duke?

...

My wife is a UMHB alum, and I went to Georgia Tech (though I also received a masters degree from UMHB).  The world seems fixated on pairing us as adversaries.  ;)  I get the same treatment from my co-workers whenever GT plays UGA.  It's all in good fun.

Thanks for keeping on top of the recruiting news, DFW.  Picked up a commitment from an All State Center up in Stephenville.  Good program.

Cru are welcomed to the Texas Gallery...https://twitter.com/bwaltens/status/1090661175325585408

And on a similar note, UMHB is hosting an event tonight to celebrate the champs.  5-7pm at Mayborn Campus Center.  They did this in 2016 and it was a lot of fun.  My son (who was 4 at the time) got all the players autographs on a free poster.  Here's a pic from the Temple Daily Telegram:

Hope to see some of you!

I meant to log on earlier and say this, but thanks for the pics Etchglow.  It's always fun to relive these games.

I follow several Cru fans on Twitter (in fact, more than one person on the last page alone).  A few of you guys do a great job of liking and/or retweeting recruits who have made their decision to come to UMHB.  It's fun scrolling past these posts and wondering if/when we'll be hearing their names on Saturdays.

I know the QB1 at Belton High School also committed this week.  I don't have it in front of me, but I'm sure someone can dig up his highlights.  Always cool to see local kids choosing to stick around.

So how bad are the withdrawal pains in your life? I've stooped to watching the NFL playoffs to get a fix. But it's not the same.

Looking forward to another season of D3/MIAC football. It's gonna be a crazy/wild/tough year as the top 3 schools compete for the top spot in the conference.

I've shifted my focus a bit to basketball and, to a lesser degree, hockey. I took the kids to the Hamline games on Saturday. Sat behind Coach Caruso's family.
I've got no rooting interest in the NFL so I'll watch the Super Bowl and nothing else.

Still need to get to my first UST hockey games for the year.

What is this "hockey" you speak of?

We just have basketball down here right now, and I'm mostly indifferent to it despite both UMHB squads playing well this year.

Thanks as always for keeping up with this, Ralph.

I just wanted to plug and give a shout-out to Frank Rossi for his interview with former Cru LB Tevin Jones.  If you haven't watched this yet, please do.  Happy for this young man taking accountability for his actions and getting the help he needs.  Good luck to you in the future, Tevin!

Thanks also to Adam, Greg, and Coach Fred for their takes on it, too.

What a great game to cap off a great season.  I'm so glad I was able to witness it in person.  That's one less thing on my bucket list!

Have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone.

Now I'm told I'm to be in the hospital until Saturday afternoon.

Where's the Stagg to be found ESPNU, ESPN3, or somewhere on the internet?
THX

Hope it's nothing serious.  Get well soon!

Stagg tickets ordered.  I was going to go anyways, but now I'm much more invested in the game  :)

Go Cru!

Was the tickets the thing that made you more invested? Just curious if there was some fun "bulletin board" material I missed.

Ha, No bulletin board material.  I'm just excited to cheer on the Cru.

I wonder, though, if there are any bets going on with former UMHB/UMU players?  I usually pick up on Twitter chatter along those lines, but nothing so far this time.

Lance Hinson has announced his resignation as Head Coach at McMurry, effective immediately.

I know it's been pretty rough going since their return to D-III.  Any rumblings on who might take his place?
