Interesting point to note, UMHB has appeared in the playoffs 17 times in 20 years. St. John's has appeared 25 times in 102 years.

Kind of a misleading stats considering that playoffs didn't exist for most of that 102 years.

Yes. It showed 17 times.

I quoted it straight from their Game Notes for today's game.

St. John's game notes said how many times UMHB has appeared in the playoffs? My point is you drew a false comparison.

Yes. it said 17 times.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

A couple of facts: HSU has not won a playoff game in 18 years. HSU is 0-5 against UMHB in the playoffs.

The Cowboys gave The CRU a good shot, but once UMHB got the lead, the Wrecking CRU D kept HSU in check. I've not looked at the stats, but I am sure HSU racked up some numbers on the ground. However the Cowboys never really threatened after their touchdown drive in the first half.

Hammonds is a tough, shifty runner.
i did look at the stats and they had 168 on the ground. they won the stats, except for the one that mattered.
I wasn't surprised that they chose to lean on the d and were happy to rush. looked like jase dinged his arm a bit early in the 1st qt, and i thought some of the short passes he threw showed a loss in arm strength.. The bomb to sims looked good, but i've seen him throw that same ball into the wind at TLU. Guess we'll see

It's his shoulder AC joint it happened a few games ago, painful but no damage.
Good to hear. after he was sandwiched i could tell something was off. glad to know it is something he can work through
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I think we have to shore up our tackling which is what really hurt us today on defense

That had a lot to do with the fact our Offense struggled and kept the D on the field for too long. They were tired.

Once you sprain your AC joint, you are more susceptible to it happening again.  Like an ankle sprain.

Get that treatment this week.

Yes sir we talked about that.

Hopefully we can keep him clean this next week.

All depends on severity and time to heal. Grade 1 not a huge deal, grade 2 much more serious, grade 3 hope we have a good backup

Well, our backup has a messed up foot, and the next one hasn't played a significant part at QB since he was in high school.

That worries me but I would think a QB can't return to a game with a grade 2 and definitely a grade 3 AC injury.

I heard Luke had surgery on his foot/ankle but not sure

Nothing like that, he had a grade 3 at ACU, it's more like a strain, less than a grade 1. According to him.

Congratulations UMHB for the first round win today.  I still don't understand why the committee thought this was a first round matchup.

Berry is excited to face the next challenge in the bracket.  The committee also saw fit to match up the SAA with two huge second round games with Centre headed to MU. I guess payment for a good season for the conference.

So where is the best steak in the area.

Best steakhouse may be Longhorn Steakhouse. Shoepfs BBQ has really good steak also to go along with fabulous jalapeno cheese sausage, quail, cheesy potatoes, and sides. Miller's has great brisket, cornbread and honey butter, Mama Miller's dessert, and in-house, award-winning coffee. You can't go wrong with any of these places.

How well does the Berry faithful travel?
. Thanks for the recommendations.

Obviously distance usually drops the crowd,  but last week at Trinity we brought maybe 200 to San Antonio.  Since this will be Thanksgiving I really don't know if we will have more or fewer.  But I think we travel ok for a program that is only 6 seasons old.

Berry Fan, the margin in 12 of the 16 games was 21 points.  In the first round, we eliminated most the "AQ" field, the teams who were there only because they won their conference (which is a philosophical tenet of D-3).

Three of the 5 Pool C bids won and advanced. HSU, a #3/#4 seed, got sent to UMHB. HSU would have surely defeated most of the #5-#8 seeded teams in the field handily.  (Pool C Muhlenberg beat Pool C John Carroll.)

For geographical proximity, it appears that Berry was a #4/#3 seed whose second round opponent in the region would be UMHB. They fortunately got a "#7 seed" in Maryville.

#2 SJU got a #8 seed in the first round.

IMHO, now we are getting the real Playoffs.

I experienced a recurring subluxation of non-throwing shoulder (AC Joint)

It will come down to two things:

1.  Pain tolerance
2.  Avoiding those hits

It's easier to keep playing on game day because of your adrenaline.  I'm sure they'll have a shoulder sleeve or harnass for him.

Get well, hate to see kids get hurt.
