Denison is participating in a D3 tournament called the Music City Classic, but, contrary to its name and what the various participating schools indicate on their websites (including Denison's), the Music City Classic isn't held in Nashville at all. Instead, it's held at Welch College in Gallatin, which is about thirty miles northeast of Nashville.
Thank you very much, it is appreciated.

Does anyone know where in Nashville Denison will be playing after Christmas? All I can find listed is Nashville. My family will just happen to be in Nashville on a Civil War trip at the same time and that would make a nice end to a day.

After Saturday in Athens I believe if you brought Mt. Union down there to play you would have a good chance of a D3 school defeating a FBS school. Duquesne doesn't have one player who could start for Mt. and they dominated Ohio.

Boals is back in town.  OU is a basketball school now!  Seriously though, they're probably going to be 0-4 heading into Akron.  If they start 0-5 there are major issues in Athens.
I was there the last 2 weeks, trust me, there are major problems.

Forgive me for asking but I haven't been on the page for a long time. What is the spectator policy at D3 games this year? I have tried to contact both Otterbein and Capital with no luck and I was hoping to attend both of their first games. I know some schools (at least some in other leagues) are only allowing family to certain indoor sports so I am still in the dark on this.

What Oberlin needs is stability...but I can't blame their HC for bolting to NDC.
NDC? They have had a great run over the last couple of years and I have enjoyed going to a few games there during that time but have you ever seen their facilities?  Other then Urbana I can't think of one worse and since Heidelberg built their their stadium NDC has the worst football stadium. Must be a big  pay raise to move.

Yesterday afternoon I was driving to Bloominton, Indiana for Michgian-Indiana game and heard some interesting conversation on 1070AM out of Indy before the pre game show came on. This was a sports talk show that actually gave time to someone other then the big 3 in Indiana. This included not only talk about Ball State but also some talk about the various games that included Indiana teams in both D2 and D3 playoffs. The most interesting part of the discussion had to do with the Hanover-Mt. Union game. I will give these guys a pass on this one as they probably have no idea about the rules of how playoff games are scheduled or the strengths of different leagues. They couldn't understand why Hanover who had had such a great season should have had to play Mt. Union. They thought this was total disrespect of both Hanover and the HCAC. They were not taking phone calls so you couldn't call to correct them. I was thinking though someone needs to tell them the HCAC is one of the worst if not the worst league in D3 (that may not be the case anymore without Earlham). They obviously didn't know about scheduling games close to home either.

Does anyone know where I can find the 2019 OAC football schedule? Trying to make my schedule out for the year and only a few teams have their schedules on their respective sites right now. It is interesting the FBS starts their schedules the tradional labor day weekend and every other division is waiting this year until the following week.

The Division III schedule is tied to Thanksgiving, not Labor Day. In years where there is an extra weekend in between (or when the Saturday of Labor Day weekend falls in August) then we wait until the following weekend.
Thank you very much for the explanation on scheduling Pat.

I saw on Twitter recently several responses to the question Top 5 Sports Dynasties of All Time. You only get 5.

My list is

1.  1993 and counting Mount Union Football
2.  1940s - 50s Clevenad Browns
3.  1960s - 70s John Wooden UCLA Bruins
4.  1950s - 60s Boston Celtics
5.  2000 and counting UConn Women's Basketball
I realize someone has also mentioned Kenyon but nobody will ever challenge 31 consecutive years national champions.  If you would ask the question of the most consecutive championships in a bar it is a guaranteed win as the answers most often given are either UCLA (basketball), Iowa (wrestling) or Mt. Union (football).

Marietta downs Heidi 38-34. Etta is 5-0. Figure Wilma next week pushes them to 6-0 an then the fun part of the schedule begins.
Wow great to see. I thought Berg had won the game. Getting old and can't read a small screen I guess.

That was the best game I have ever seen Denison play. Great game from start to finish.

Another good performance by Marietta against a poor opponent yesterday. Took the wind out of the sales of Muskingum with a 90 yard kickoff return at the start. They have to play a much better quality team next week.  ONU will give us a better idea if the Pioneers really have arrived. Still a very good game yesterday and good to see a 3-0 start instead of the other way for Marietta.

Wally Wabash

FWIW. Forgot to tell you I talked to a lot of Wabash people yesterday. Even met Jake Reid's dad. Nice group. Visited their tailgate area. Had a great time. Hiram had no tailgate area. More Wabash people than Hiram people. Hiram fans don't even support their team. And their stadium is a total disgrace. I think that's my last Hiram game. I left the game at the half. It was really hot and Hiram couldn't stop the Little Giants.
sigma one gave you Reid's numbers. Very impressive.
I will be at the Wooster vs Allegheny game in Wooster this coming Saturday. Should be a better game, in a better stadium and where their fans support the team. Go Scots.
And best to Wabash for the rest of the season. The NCAC better look out for these guys. ☠🏈
Hiram has to have the smallest stadium now that Heidelberg has their new place. I was there last year for the OWU game and couldn't believe how small it was. Many of the seats they do have are not good and standing room view isn't very good also. I went there to cross it off my bucket list of Ohio schools that play varsity football (35 of 41 down), I won't go back.

Went over to Marietta for a second game last night and the Pioneers didn't look too bad. Hard to tell what the quality of opposition was, Geneva was a one trick pony running the triple option. Marietta probably let them have too many yards for being ahead like they were. Still a good win and the Pioneers should have no problems with Capital. League will be pretty good this year. Marietta will not challenge the best but at least they are respectable. Was impressed with the stadium and the turnout also. Most of Marietta must have show up for the game and fireworks afterwards.
