A hooded robber burst into a bank and forced the tellers to load a sack full of cash.  On his way out the door, a brave man grabbed the hood and pulled it off, revealing the robber's face.  The robber shot the customer without a moment of hesitation.  He then looked around the bank and noticed of the tellers looking straight at him.  The robber instantly shot the teller also.

Everyone in the bank, by now very scared, looking intently down at the floor in silence.  The robber yelled, "Well, did anyone else see my face?"  There were a few moments of utter silence in which everyone was plainly too afraid to speak.  Then one old geezer tentatively raised his hand and said, "My wife got a pretty good look at you."

Crazy, tragic story that could have been worse. A plane crashed into a Sauk Rapids home. People onboard were killed. SJU assistant Kole Heckendorf was in the house at the time -- home belonged to his brother-in-law, who wasn't there -- but managed to escape through a window.

Quote"You don't see stuff like this ever," Lewandowski said. "(Heckendorf) had to have had an angel help him out of the house."

This is so tragic (for pilot & passenger in plane) and so unbelievably lucky(for Kole) he must have a guardian angle
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Wow, what an escape for him.  I wonder what happened with the plane.

I know this isn't a laughing matter, but I noticed this Griswold Family Christmas moment in the photos as I went through them.  Look at the guy in the white t-shirt and the girl in the black shirt with him.  Unfortunate timing for them on that photo.

Anyone who thinks that the skills required to play basketball (run, jump, throw) are more difficult than those required to play hockey (too many to list) is a Moe-Ron.

And the Internet says... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/sportSkills

You are correct.  Moe-Ron.

Duff, by the way, has gone from playing the third hardest sport to the 60th hardest (of the sports they looked at).

SUMMIT!!!!!

I received an email overnight that brightened my Monday:

The Vince Flynn Estate, along with Emily Bestler, Senior VP and Editor-in-Chief of Emily Bestler Books are excited to announce the decision to continue the Mitch Rapp series.

Bestler, who was Vince Flynn's only editor throughout his entire career and whose imprint is a division of Simon & Schuster's Atria Books, signed a three book deal with 47-year-old New York Times bestselling author Kyle Mills.

Mills was first published in 1997 and has penned 13 thrillers, most notably Fade and The Ares Decision.

Mills will complete The Survivor, the book Flynn was writing at the time of his death on June 19, 2013, and then write two additional Mitch Rapp novels. The Survivor is tentatively scheduled to release in the fall of 2015.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Have you been wrestling with your fish again?  I thought Noodling was more of a Southern thing.

Boxing is obviously a tough sport, but I suspect some of that comes from their system of matching opponents.  If football was like boxing, Hamline would be in a much smaller weight class.  Even with two even matched teams in Basketball/Football/Hockey, you're always looking to exploit the weakest link.

We moved to a new home last week.  One of the first neighbors we met was sporting an old-school SJU football t-shirt.  Not bad company!  ;D

Hey Duffman, welcome to your new home.....Life is good.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Matt Spangher is settling into his cult persona at Hawthorn and has managed to pick up 8 games this season.  He's been a bit of journeyman through the league but looks like he's finding a bit of a home with the Hawks where all they ask is that you're willing to put your body on the line every single play.

The Vikings have Purple Jesus and Hawthorn have a Jesus of their own:

Or as the local paper puts it: Herald Sun journalist Jon Ralph wrote "Let's face it, when you look half rock god and half Jesus, men want to be you and women want to be with you."

I saw a man on the street TV interview last night where the guy said "I don't mean to be apathetic, but I really just don't care."
