Any word on recruiting classes in the ODAC... as a AVID twitter user and following a lot of ODAC schools looks like RMC has another strong class coming in as well as lynchburg. I've also heard that new E&H coach will not be walking into the great situation as he expected. Heard from numerous people close to E&H basketball that Daniel Spencer has transferred to Virginia Wesleyan. If this is true this is a huge pick up for a Marlin team that already returns a lot of talent with Lamont Stewart and Tim Fisher. They have to be the pick to win the ODAC next year

Caleb Kimbrough is excited about his first recruiting class at Hampden-Sydney.  It is a large class, but here are four members of the class and links to their highlights:

Some sorely needed athleticism and shooting.

Any word on E&H, Guilford, and Roanoke's recruiting classes?

scottiedoug

I heard from someone at E&H that he heard that Daniel Spencer has transferred to a school in NC to be closer to home and that the new coach is bringing a few players with him from where he just was.

Daniel spencer has transferred to virginia wesleyan university. From what I hear he has already enrolled and is taking summer classes there. Also not sure who but heard another returner for E & H has transferred to Lynchburg. Anyone have any info on these incoming freshmen names I'm about to put as far as skillsets .

Lynchburg- Kavon James from va beach (how did he get away from the marlins)
VWU- Miles Wallace from atlanta GA and Jordan Crump from Richmond.

These are some of the names ive seen on twitter committed to these places. We post more as I hear them.

Unless a mistake was made in the registrar's office, it would appear the H-SC's leading scorer, Chaise Johnson, will not be returning to H-SC as he is not listed on the student directory.

Was listening to an interview from Coach Macedo and he said that they saw the Wallace kid playing on ESPN against IMG Academy. Pretty cool story. Also, pretty big that the Spencer kid is coming over. Hopefully that type of impact player can end VWU's tourney drought!

Brayden Gault to Roanoke is going to be big for them as well. Coached against him and watched him alot when he was in high school and he was a very good player. Good size, can really shoot it, just is really good at scoring the basketball. Looking forward to another fun ODAC season!

Lastly, VWU's schedule just came out and I think its a travesty that they only face Randolph Macon one time! I guess they've hit that part of the cycle but thats a game I believe needs to be played twice a year!

Macon

VWU and Roanoke should be on the rise this season, I'm thinking into the top three along with RMC.  RMC did lose a solid senior class, and will need to depend on recruits in the starting lineup. The Talbert kid looks legit.  As much I enjoyed the 2018-19 HSC season, they will be much improved, but will need more than one year to right the ship.  It will be a very competitive ODAC season, maybe one of the tightest in recent history and a very balanced season, I don't see one team dominating the conference.  Obviously, it's early and all conjecture.
