It is a little known fact that Einstein was headed for a career in the NBA before an injury forced him into physics.

Did everybody forget that it is:
National Cheese Lover's Day?
I did :)

I totally forgot. I thought it was the anniversary of when Albert Einstein, in 1915, in his General Theory of Relativity, postulated the possible existence of a parallel universe with 10 dimensions. It would , of course, have the usual compliment of black holes, neutron stars and dark matter.
Ah, but I digress!  ???  :o

To Pat Coleman and staff

Thank you for another great year.  Year after year you guys bring us the best coverage in Dlll football. You keep us informed on what's happening. You give us a forum where we can exchange ideas (or just have fun). You have a team of very knowledgeable personnel who have their hand on the pulse of the Dlll landscape. This, to me, is what a site of this type should be.

On a personal note, I have been dealing with some health issues this year. This site has certainly helped me make it through my battles. I look forward every day to seeing what's up in our little world.
Are the "purple powers" still on the top of the heap?
Why is the WIAC the best conference in the land?
Who are these teams we seldom hear about that are beating some of "the big guys"?
Can some of the schools really have such "big time" players?

You seemingly cover the most important aspects of Dlll football. And you're damn good at it!

So, I'll stop rambling and just wish you a very prosperous 2022 - for your families and for this sport we love so much.

                  HAPPY NEW YEAR

To all my Crusader friends, who also happen to be Dlll National Champions,

An Nou Fericit (That's a big Happy New Year in Romanian from this old Mount Union alum). See you next year!  8-)  ;D

A very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

I still have nightmares of him from the 2003 Stagg Bowl. The guy was all-world.

Me too ^^^^^^ !

Hey, as far as I’m concerned, UMHB was the National champ in 2016.
What’s the problem?

Congratulations to Central QB Blaine Hawkins on winning the Gagliardi Award. I think this is more prestigious than the Heisman Trophy because it is for more than athletic ability. It combines education and community servicer as well. I don't really know anything about this young man, but, we have had our share of winners at Mount Union and I know the type of person who qualifies for this award.
Well done, Mr. Hawkins. The very best to you as you go forward.

First, congratulations to the Crusaders of Mary Hardin-Baylor. No doubt, you are the best in the land. You're number one, not because of some poll or because of what a group of people think, but because you met the challenge from the rest of Dlll. You played them on the field and prevailed in each and every case. Other good teams, like my Purple Raiders, dropped off along the way. But the Cru played on! Only you sit on top of the mountain. Only you can say, "We're number one".
And it seems there's a pretty good chance you'll be around for awhile. That's scary if you're a Mount fan. I'll try to deal with it.
Again, congratulations. You earned it!

As for the TD pass when you were up by a big score. I loved it. If you have a big lead, put in your backups. You did. Truly a nice move for a backup QB that helped  you get to the Stagg Bowl. He'll remember for the rest of his life that he threw a TD pass in the National Championship Game.
I have always felt that it's the responsibility of the other team to stop you from scoring. If they can't stop your backups. too bad.
Good move by your coaching staff.

Meanwhile, back in Alliance. I wonder how we'll do next year? That school in Belton, Texas will be back and ..........  :'(  ::)
