With it being the end of the season for all but 4 programs, that means the coaching carousel has fired up and is starting to turn. Here are some jobs that have opened, please use this thread for actual positions opening not places you think need a new coach:

-Adrian College (MI)
-Illinois College
-Cornell College (IA)

Please, everyone rush to chime in... Thought the NESCAC guys would have spotted this.

A new year, another NESCAC position needs filling as Colby head man steps down after 42 years at the school: http://www.colby.edu/athletics_cs/coachms11-14-13.cfm

Looks like Adrian College already hired a new coach.

Charlie Edwards, an assistant from BGSU.

W&L's Coach Rolf Piranian retired from coaching after his 38th season and over 300 wins. A replacement has not yet been named and the news release said not until spring.

Looks like two more positions open:

Alfred University (NY) of the Empire 8: http://gosaxons.com/coaches.aspx?path=msoc&

Iowa Wesleyan of the SLIAC is also open, believe this was their first year in D3?

Tony Ochrimenko, the Hall of Fame head coach of the Kean University men's soccer program, announced he will be retiring in 2014 after a legendary career that spanned five decades and delivered the first NCAA Division III National Championship in Kean History. He will end his 38-year head coaching career with a 468-248-56 record and a winning percentage of .642.

Any idea who will be replacing him? Is there a long time Asst or perhaps Kean alum in the coaching ranks who seems poised to take over?

You'd have to think given the state of the NJAC currently, Kean's recent performances in the league, and their recent troubles that they'd be looking outside.  If you still thought of Kean as a perennial contender, recruiting top talent in the region, etc. then you're on to a legacy setup.  Messiah of course obviously comes to mind.  In the end though, no disrespect of course to such a legendary career as Coach Ochrimenko's, but based on results/form -- the self-sanctioning of 2011, an ineligibility forfeit this season, and the fact that the team has not had a winning record in the past 5 seasons (best NJAC season 4-5), I'd suspect it will be a fresh face.

Late in the year it appears Transylvania, Aurora, and Immaculata looking for new head coaches...

Transylvania head coach taking the Carnegie Mellon position: http://www.transysports.com/news/2014/4/29/MSOC_0429145935.aspx

Aurora's coach no longer on the website... Same at Immaculata

Robert Irvine comes to Kean from the University of Pennsylvania, where he has been an assistant for the past eight seasons and helped lead the Quakers to two Ivy League titles and three NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament appearances.

I heard the Auorora coach left to take an AD position in Chicago at Malcolm X College.

Will leave AU scrambling to find a replacement last minute..

Interesting move by him. Always had a decent team, but never could get over the hump that is Dominican. Haven't found any press about the move besides him no longer being listed on the website. Anyone else have any news or insight on this move?

Washington and Lee has yet to announce their new men's head coach as well, despite announcing midway through the 2013 season that long-time Coach Piranian was leaving. Seems strange to have gone this long without something. Wonder what affect that has had on recruiting.

Facility issues? New AD? Some other programs on the rise instead of just being Aurora there to challenge Dominican? Maybe he enjoyed the administration side and saw it as the right move for his life?

Not certain, but should be interesting to see if Aurora makes a quick hire or is able to find a quality candidate this late in the game.

I'm sure a combination of those led to his departure. Best of luck to Coach St. Clair. It will be interesting to watch how fast the department is in finding a qualified replacement. Aurora could be a desirable destination for coaching prospects.
