Interesting that they went with four OFs, no catcher, no Shortstop or 2B.

Well, it's clear to me that that is not an official D3baseball.com All-Tournament team.   :D

You are correct, sir. Not sure if Jim/Pat are putting one out later this week with the Final Poll, but I suspect they may.

I hope Jim posts his ballot somewhere. He worked very hard on it and there were no other media besides him and me that saw every game.

Jim, Pat and OshDude... you agree with the all-tourney team? It is hard to argue with the guys that are on there.

Yes, it's hard to argue with those selections.

The problem with that team who were the defensive stalwarts that locked down the defense.

Karpen in CF, but Shenandoah's Scott Lambert was captured making the great play at the plate in the collision with Framingdale State's Rich Gili.\

Was Lambert the best catcher?

Not an all tournament "team" in the true sense (and it never is) but a selection of players who had a big impact.

No, you can't argue with the selections, but what about the omissions? I understand ignoring Labrozzi of Farmingdale (2 and out is always ignored, right?) but why ignore  Lehman (Chapman) or Zavistovsky (Kane)?

Didn't see you for long stretches of time. Can't vouch you were at every game. Didn't see a byline either. :)

Zavistoski and Moceri each came up in conversation.

I would not have voted for the same 11 players (would have voted for 10 of them), but I understand the final list. Sometimes a player does something special in the championship to earn a spot. In hindsight I think the final list is better than the one I would have submitted.

Ralph Turner

My complaint is that the list above is not a team.  It is eleven players who might have appeared on the MVP balloting (as rjburke said).

The hardest thing that we face in D-III is that so few places have audio much less video of the games that give even a rough perspective of the player's quality.

How did the catcher handle the staff?  (Hard to find in the boxscore.)

Catching the video of the series, I had a better understanding of the range of Moceri at 2B.  It framed a Moceri-Hadzinsky question or a Lehman-Swearingen question at catcher.

The addition of those positions makes for a complete All-Tournament team.

It's been confirmed that my landlord won't accept bylines as currency.
