Pretty cool article on Calvin Aroh at tufts and provides some insight to how the team has been handling this fall period...

The facilities at Roanoke are incredible for a d1 school let alone a d3 program.  And winning a national championship in OT there means it will always have a special place in my heart.

But a post game 4 pc chicken nugget from Zaxby's probably isn't quite the same celebration as the guys in vegas will have.

You absolutely buried the lead that 2024 is in Las Vegas

Only got to play Messiah once but you could certainly tell this is exactly the type of list the program should rank highly on. In reality what this list is trying to measure almost directly correlates to success. People like being apart of and staying in touch with successful programs. Having that buy in leads to successful programs. The key is getting the cycle of success started.

See i stopped reading when amherst was number one

Tufts just put out a message that all students will be returning to campus Sept 8th as normal. Club and intramural sports have been cancelled for the fall but varsity sports are still pending further guidance from the NESCAC and the NCAA.

I would say its equally sad for the seniors of every school in the country. Whatever their situation is they  have spent three years working towards the moment to finally lead their team. They've spent 15 plus years playing soccer and finally have one last go.

Obviously, once again some perspective is required because not getting to play a season of a sport pales in comparison to what other people are going through. But I guess you say devastating I say heartbreaking, either way it sucks.

Hi Paul, I think ultimately safety is the number one priority and as much as soccer was such a huge part of all these guys/my life, it does not take priority in this situation.

That being said it would be heartbreaking for all the seniors on the team to not get a chance to make a run at the title one last time.

I mean I completely understand loving to play. But if you're a team thats used to competing for championships its gonna be hard to be fully motivated playing 15 games and then nothing.

I mean if you're going to cancel the postseason might as well get rid of the whole thing.

Saint an awesome post and first I want to thank you for that. I think you are right that this is going to create an opening for a lot of teams moving forward. Amherst has to be a big big favorite next year. They are returning someone thats gonna finish as one of the top 5 Nescac players of all time at he most important position on the field. Secondly they really don't lose a ton to graduation a couple of important glue guys sure but no one that is irreplaceable.

Next you know that usual suspects calvin, messiah, chicago etc are going to be looking to finally knock tufts off the perch.

And unfortunately Saint we did lose one big game and it happened to end my career against brandeis with 1:06 left in double OT in the 2017 elite 8.
