Have to feel good for Jordan Love today; he handled the pressure well. The NFL needs a mercy rule for a game like this.

Any other schools with John in the name that UWW can play? This is getting fun to watch!

You Actually enjoyed a UWW game?!?  ;D ;)

I only saw bits & pieces of todays game, Mr. Warhawk. But what I saw showed some good stuff. Was off-shore on my boat fishing in the Keys & they were biting. Do expect a kinder, gentler BoBo in ‘23!

Wisconsin Whitewater defeats John Carroll 27-23... Great second half by UW-W

Great? Not really. Just enough … yes.

This is shaping up to be a really great recruiting class for the Warhawks! This class is especially deep in the offensive and defensive lines. On the offensive side of the ball, here are a few of the incoming Hawks on the O-line:

Transfer Evan Oberg was a rivals 2 star OG from DeForest. He played in 5 games as a true freshman at Northern Michigan on the DL. When he transferred he specifically wanted to play OL. Last year he was listed at 6'4" 260. Playing OL, that weight will go up considerably.

Steven Young is a 4-year starter, 2-time team captain at Kankakee, IL. His dad was his OL coach in high school. He is a tremendous athlete who is on the power lifting team that deadlifts over 600lbs and squats nearly 600. Steven goes 6'2" 295 lbs.

Nick Thome was the DL of the year in his conference at Notre Dame Prep. His coach said he would have been the offensive linemen of the year if he let him play both ways. Big body. Well put together. 6'3" 275 lbs. Received at least one D-II offer.

Troy Dietzler is a 6’6 290 monster with really no fat on him. He is ranked in the top 10 in the state in wrestling. Father is a military man. Received at least one D-II offer. Played High School ball at Ashwaubenon High School.

Mason McNeill was the highest rated player in the Warhawk OL / DL camp last summer. Currently ranked 3rd in state in wrestling. Mason is 6'6" 230 pounds. Played high school ball at Westosha Central High School.

EJ Gritzner is the smallest of the group but great athlete and extremely physical. Played ball at Lake Geneva Badger High School.

Last year, with two starters leaving the team within a few months of the start of the season (one immediately before camp), we started the year with a total of zero college starts among our starting offensive linemen. There has been a ton of talent (literally) brought in the last two years on the offensive line.  There will be a lot of competition on the O-line this year and I firmly believe we will see significantly more consistency in that group  this year.
Back in December there was some questions that a lack of a head coach would hurt WW in recruiting. It looks like they will be alright.

Little did the uninformed numskull who said that know that the new head coach was still with the program leading the recruiting efforts.  ;)

Also, Bullis announced his retirement a few days after the game. The AD didn’t know he was gonna do that? Don’t buy that.

Or the AD knew he was going to force him out if a short playoff run. If the case he should have have a plan to hire a coach quickly in place.

People in the know have already stated here it’s not a surprise Bullis was going to retire after the season.

There are Wisconsin state hiring laws that make immediate filling of state jobs impossible, especially a job that wasn’t even vacated until he announced his retirement. You obviously don’t understand how that all works.

Where was Johnny magic today? I guess it only pops up when they win. How convenient.

Pay attention, kids.  This is the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.

Invoking Dunning-Kruger in an online message board in order to discredit another persons idea is so cliche. Leave it to you to mention it.

The only problem is that the D-K effect itself is wrong. Everyone actually thinks they’re better than average. Even Dr. David Dunning admits it is a misunderstood effect. You want it to be about dumb people, but Dr. Dunning has stated it’s mostly about all of us when it comes to things we are not very competent at. So if you still want to use D-K in your lame argument, be my guest. It’s more a self-explanation about your own incompetence than anything else … that according to David Dunning himself. I tend to agree w/ him.

When you have 5 turnovers, and the opposition gets 17 points off those turnovers. And you get 0 points off your one takeaway. When you can't score when you have 1st and goal from inside the 5, and you only lose by three, that's kind of magical. If you saw the Johnnie/Warhawk game, expand the number of mistakes made by UWW, that's what the Johnnies did yesterday. It was tough to watch a team that normally forces mistakes, make unforced (maybe a couple were forced) errors.

In summary...when you play like crap you lose.

Bingo … what a novel concept!!

I see Linfield finally played a good team, and well….we saw how that went.

Congrats to Bethel.

Linfield, UWW and SJU all out by round 2.  :o

According to one of the Linfield faithful, that was the Linfield B team today. An L is an L.

Good that AU didn’t become a one hit wonder either. They got a chance.

Bobo, fair is fair. I disagree w you often but this is an A+ post.

Welcome to the Bobo bandwagon emma. I’ll get 02Warhawk to find you your seat.

With the retirement of Bullis and new coaches this year at Oshkosh, Platteville and Stevens Point is Matt Walker the dean WIAC coaches?

I friend of mine wants to know if he gets a trophy for that?

Lol. Season ends on Lewandowski INT, followed by the defense unable to make a stop on third down.

Couldn’t have been a more fitting to end to the season and the game.

… with the receiver wide open in the endzone and the pass horribly underthrown. That’s a microcosm of this year. Sad
