Scranton folks, keep this one under your hats (as it was mentioned in confidence and is far from a done deal..........although the same person told me pretty early that C.B. West's Teddy Spratt was transferring from Millersville to Scranton), but a Scranton native, who is a freshman at Jefferson University, has contemplated moving back home to play for Scranton. I don't know anything about his game..........but a 6'5" guard is a very nice sized player at the D-III level. We'll see.

The reality is that 3 of the 4 teams went on the road and lost to better teams, which is indicative of the fact that their resumes were shaky enough in certain areas to warrant the tougher draws. Middlebury getting Nichols at home is certainly the one that got away for the league but I don’t think there is any shame in losing to Nichols either.

To have 4 tries at the second weekend and come up empty is disappointing but is also probably perfectly indicative of the state of the league all year. A lot of good, not a lot of great.

The Keene State success puzzles me a bit. While they are athletic pretty much across the board, they are small. I mean, really small. I don't know how many games they weren't the smaller team in at least 3 or 4 positions. I know that height is just one variable........but I love that variable on the boards and to get in the faces of good shooters. Coach Cain does one hell of a job with the Keene program. They've really taken a step up over the last few years.

who had the men and women both being eliminated in the Round of 32 on their bingo card?

Had you given me 500-1 odds on the Scranton and DeSales women not making it out of the Round of 32, given that they were the 3rd and 8th ranked teams in the country (by D3Hoops), playing on their homecourt's........I'm not sure that I would have even thrown a $5 bill on the table.

DeSales has a lot coming back next season, with only one graduation that hurts.

Scranton does as well, although they have a few key losses and 12 of the 16 players on the roster are juniors, seniors or grad students. I'm sure that Scranton will reload big time as they always do though.

Sometime this season I thought I heard that Rafferty was going to play only 1(this) year.

You may very well be correct Ronk, although if that was in stone, Richter would have recognized her on Senior Day. We'll see come the Fall.

NESCAC is looking like the league that we all know they are so far! Wouldn’t be surprised to see all 4 teams advance today. I watched Hopkins play last night and was not impressed at all by them, I expect a Hamilton win tonight on Hopkins home floor. Iron sharpens iron so let’s just say that the 4 NESCAC teams are 4 of the sharpest in this tournament!!

There are posts that don't age well...........posts that are flat out wrong..........and posts that will live on, in infamy, forever.

And then, there are those rare, maybe once a decade posts, that are all three!!

This post is one of those. :)

"NESCAC is looking like the league that we all know they are"
"Wouldn’t be surprised to see all 4 teams advance today"
"I watched Hopkins play last night and was not impressed at all by them, I expect a Hamilton win tonight on Hopkins home floor"
"Iron sharpens iron so let’s just say that the 4 NESCAC teams are 4 of the sharpest in this tournament"

I don't know where to start other than by begging you to stay away from the race track and deleting all of your sports betting apps..........pronto!!

I asked the D3 guys if there has ever been a tournament where at least 9 UAA+NESCAC teams were involved........and were all out prior to the Sweet 16.

My guess is no, just based on the pure absurdity of the math involved.........but my guess is that this year might just be the first.

Prayers to Jessie Krasna (Pennsbury HS / Ursinus), his two young sons and the rest of his family and Jennifer's family. Jessie lost his wife a couple of days ago after she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Jennifer Krasna was just 30 years old. Jennifer was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, as well as amazing elementary school teacher. Jessie is a wonderful elementary school teacher as well as being the head boys basketball coach at Council Rock North.

Please keep the family in your prayers. May God Bless them and take wonderful care of Jennifer as she is certainly with Him in heaven.

There seems to be some sensitivity/ or insensitivity on what "just fine" means referring to NCC's season. Personally ,if my wife ever says that was "just fine" , I'm totally happy ;D

It was funny to see unionpalooza go down that "academic path". I swear for a second that I was on the NESCAC board, the board that mocks the Ivy League, UAA, Patriot League, etc.....................let alone Union and Ithaca. as inferior. If they only knew the colleges attended by many of my wealthiest clients. I'm talking tens and hundreds of millions in assets. The list includes many non-Ivy, non-NESCAC, non-UAA colleges and universities...............but does include many, God forbid, state schools. Gasp!!!! ;)

Give me the schools that take chances on kids (first to attend college let alone graduate) vs. the snooty, stuffy schools in the Northeast where Tad and Biffy write checks for Tad Jr. and Biffy Jr. (and larger checks to make sure that the prepsters can get into those schools) and where the Prep School elite, with many life advantages given to them at conception, pop their shirt colors up, tuck the shirts in the lobster shorts as they head out to Nantucket.

That's not the guy I want in the foxhole........although most wouldn't be found anywhere near a foxhole.

When we die, the life we lived will not be judged on where we went or didn't go to school. It will be based on living a Godly life, having faith, being kind to all and being generous with our resources/treasues, time and talents.

It's really as simple as that!! God Bless.

Would you guys relate to yourselves as nerds or terds? Just wondering....

Don't worry about how we refer to ourselves up here in the C-suite. You just keep referring to us as Boss.

There is only one 'Boss'...............and He resides in heaven. The rest of us are just place keepers biding time until we bite the dust.

And unless those in the C-suite (where I worked, miserably, but golden handcuffed, for years, in corporate law.........P&G, PepsiCo, etc........before getting religion, working for myself and managing money for high and ultra-high net worth folks) actually ownt eh company, nobody os the "boss".

My checks never came from the clown who half assed my annual review, it came from the entity. The employees whom I managed did not work for me. I didn't pay them. I didn't own the company. They worked with me, not for me.

Get off the high horse. The C-suite blows. Most who put their backsides in those seats are pompous asses.........and they are nobody's boss.

My bosses are in heaven and so are yours, so live wisely, give plenty of your time and resources.........and drop the C-suite and boss nonsense, it impresses nobody other than the few clowns who are wrongly impressed by it.

Carry on though. ;)

I am convinced that DelVal's run of dominance has dried this collective board up more than the cumulative issues of death, sickness, divorce (she had a good lawyer and you lost permanent access to the internet as a result:),  bankruptcy (see divorce:), loss of sports appetite, incarceration, witness protection program and maturity (substituting crap like art museums and Shakespeare)!!

Go Aggies!! Next year.................the Aggies start filling up the other hand's fingers with consecutive MAC Championship rings!!

Congrats to DelVal on an unprecedented fifth consecutive, undefeated MAC Championship. Everything else is gravy from here. This run and the 45 game conference unbeaten streak (and counting) will never be broken, even if this conference (and sport) are here for another 100 years!!

Congrats to FDU today...but that must have been an UGLY game. Here's hoping they keep the game with Del Val respectable...

Game was not as close as the final score. I think DelVal could have hung 60+ on them but they started taking that air out of the ball (and subbing.......quite deep) in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

The QB is quick, but had little to no help. The defense had quite the press clippings coming in but had no answer for the Aggies deep passing game. Their strength, the defensive line, put very little pressure on the QB.

I saw that Trinity was all over the news today and assumed it must have been about their football program. But alas, it was over much more important matters.........to a fractional minority (one hopes). NESCAC proud!! John Wayne is rolling over in his grave. God, I miss those days!! Let's Go Football!!! ;)
