If you're referencing the D3Fb article "Today, We're all Mount Union" the point isn't to say that Mount is just like every other d3 school, it's just about the current D3 competitive landscape.

45% from the line is a recipe for an early round exit for Mount.

Mount, JCU and Berg all hold serve to remain tied at 7-1 atop the conference.  Berg notched a solid win over Etta 82-76.  JCU certainly had the strangest game as they fouled on purpose up 66-63 and grabbed a rebound off the missed 2nd FT to survive 66-64.  The strange part was this was at home against Wilm who is now 1-7 in OAC play.

Mount won 74-65 at Ott.  They did not play great by any stretch, but they battled through some issues including 1-13 on 3s and most notably Parker taking an Ott pass to the face.  With his broken nose that caused him to head to the locker room ahead of halftime and basically not play at all in the 2nd half.  Poole stepped up and carried them for stretches (23 pts on 8-10 shooting).  Poole also had 7 boards 6 of which were offensive.  Much like JCU, Ott was able to get numerous easy scores off screens/backdoor cuts.  Fortunately, Mount forced 24 turnovers to more than make up for a few lapses.

19-21 at the charity stripe though

I hope they can stay healthier next fall because this is going to be the best front 6 they've had on defense in a few years.  The silver lining to the rash of injuries is the 1st team practice reps and crunch time game snaps the young guys got this year.  They're going to be in the backfield A LOT with this crew they have back.

Rossy Moore should be National DPOY candidate, Lally's 20 sacks school record could be in serious jeopardy.  There's also a starting OT that should be back this year and Mount won't have to have a TE playing OT again

This is huge with great depth/talent on the Dline. Hill, Factor, Franklin, Bowden, and Farrell among others.

Lilja and Scott have a decision to make as well.  Although I think Scott would be less likely, and who could blame Lilja for not going out with his AFCA Good Works Team experience at the Sugar Bowl.  As good as Duke is, Factor, Franklin and Farrell are straight up dudes.  Mount's D would have been elite this year without all of the injuries, should be right there again in '23.  Get in the weight room boys

I think the Stagg Bowl proved that they were an elite D, NCC had to really work for their season low 28 points.

nothing about the Stagg Bowl was elite, except for the effort from the boys. The DL should return a solid 4-5, the LB will have Mason and Rossy back, the secondary should only be missing Bradley, maybe Vail.  I was more bringing up the D getting gassed in the JCU, BW, Wartburg games due to A) lack of depth and B) offense ineptitude.  Towards the end of the season, it was pretty much Duke, Factor and Freshman of the Day trying to get pressure on the QB with at least 3 starting DL injured.  No wonder teams came back

Ruby is going to enter next season with 287 Rec 4500 yards and 59 TD for his career. 

The D3 career records are 463 Rec 6108 yards and 75 TD. 

while the career reception record is likely safe, Wayne will have a very good shot at the yards and TD records for D3 and with a deep playoff run he could really make a run at the all-division records as well (78 TD D2 & 6,464 yards FCS)

All of the Mount receiving records will be Ruby's by the 2nd or 3rd game
