8-12 mph winds might be one of the calmest late Nov/Dec games in Alliance that I can remember

From the Picks:

"Logan's take:   When he's targeting Wayne Ruby, Braxton Plunk is the most efficient quarterback in the country. Targeting anyone else, and he's barely above average."

I guess that it's pretty cool Wayne Ruby is a Purple Raider

I guess Plunk's completion percentage to any other receiver is barely average...

Ruby didn't play vs. Otterbein and Plunk was 23/31.  I guess 74% is just average.

I'd try to go back and back Ruby's receptions out of the other games statistics, but there's no way of knowing how many attempts (that were incomplete) went to specific receivers.

The new stat software most NCAA schools use does include info about who was targeted on incomplete passes.

Yep, most play by play (found in the game stats) lists the intended target for incomplete passes.

Cool, but I don’t think I have time to go through the play by play is 12 games to see Plunk’s passing efficiency when not throwing to Ruby.

Coming from the guy that collected and averaged all the player heights and weigths for the final 4, yeah that sounds like too much work.... lol

Just checked the ticket site.  Lots of seats available for Saturday.

So is there basically no way to avoid the ticket site fees now that we can’t pay cash?

Afraid not.  I wonder how much affect the new ticketing policy had on the poor attendance this season.

IMHO, The Athletic office has made it  more difficult for the average Mount supporter to consider buying a ticket in
advance, paying a processing fee and only using a credit card. Attendance may be down for several reasons, but the
new process is a factor. I do not favor the system, only since It takes the person behind the athletic office process out
of the process. One used to be call the ticket office with any inquiries, but that is about gone, :(

There probably many who think this is the direction to take with ticket processes. It will be what many colleges will move
to if not already in place.

It's hard to tell if it's had an impact looking at playoff games, the first two weeks were pretty typically playoff attendance (actually a little up from 2019)

Would love to see at least a 2500+ crowd tomorrow.

Okay good lord just saw homecoming only had 1600 in attendance, that’s bizarrely low attendance

Doesn’t the NCAA set the price of playoff tickets?
At the HS level in FL, most schools are moving towards online ticketing.

It started out prior to COVID, but really took off during the pandemic.

It reduces time counting and accounting for the cash.

If it’s about dollars and cents why not just increase ticket prices to account for inflation, I’m pretty sure playoff tickets were $10 when I was an undergrad at mount

I don’t know but that’s a good question.

Pat,

D3Football did stories on 3 out of the 4 semifinalists this week.

Why no story on Mount Union?

Thanks,
K&J Dad

I think because once they had the title for the column "NCAA gifts Mount Union the semifinals once again" they couldn't find a way to expand on it.  ;D  LoL. Roll Raiders ~ Roll! Go Everybody...except Knights.

I have always taken stories about teams during the week of their playoff games as the kiss of death haha, seems like there is high correlation of feature stories about teams that seem to have hit their ceiling for the season. They don't need to write stories about the powers early because they will have time later in the playoff rounds.
