Any chance of convincing the Thunder to make the 200.001 mile drive up to GR for the Calvin Invitational next year?

That would be great.  Oshkosh came all the way around the lake for it.

Wow, St Olaf is a high-end meet.  Exciting to see so many quality teams at one course.  I think the D3 T&F and XC in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and to a lesser extent Illinois really benifit from the solid D3 competition they can find every weekend.

FOX NEWS -- Mumps outbreak at Wheaton College, Illinois ..... being that men's XC is Wheaton's best chance for an NCAA title this fall, I wonder what they'll do to protect the students?

I'd be taking all my runners off campus until this blows over.

The Track Shark blog is great. Nice source for interviews and results.

The Track Shark chat is poor, esp. when you want to discuss D3, no one cares.  I think many D1 and D2 athletes do not like to recognize that there are D3 athletes that can compete at their level while paying tuition.

The Wilmington Ohio Invitational and the Pre-Nationals Meet are the same competition.  It was hosted by Wilmington College in West Chester, Ohio.

NCAA Div III Pre-National Meet WOMEN's RESULTS

NCAA Div III Pre-National Meet MEN's RESULTS

You'd think the SIDs would use a common name for the meet.

NCAA Div III Pre-National Meet WOMEN's RESULTS

NCAA Div III Pre-National Meet MEN's RESULTS

You'd think the SIDs would use a common name for the meet.

Well, these results will shake up the polls a bit. Here are the top 5 women's teams:

1. Geneseo#133 pts
2. Washington U#266 pts
3. Depauw#3399 pts
4. MIT106 pts
5. Wheaton#22164 pts

The most surprising result here is the result by the Wheaton women, behind #33 Depauw and even behind unrated MIT. Have the mumps decimated the XC team?

1. Geneseo#2171 pts
2. North Central#13109 pts
3. RIT118 pts
4. Wheaton#2119 pts
5. Depauw144

More surprises! Great showing by Geneseo. The mumps must have reached the Wheaton men's team, too. (2:32 separated their 1st and 12th finishers, unlike 0:40 in the previous meet.)

What's a Jamboree?  It would have been great to see the two Calvin teams scrapin' paint at the Pre-Nationals Meet.
