QuoteWesley College head football coach Mike Drass, one of the winningest coaches in Division III football history, died Monday.

The school confirmed Drass' death, but an official cause is not known at this time.

Sports information director Cyrill Parham said Drass, 57, attended the school's graduation ceremonies on Saturday.

"The Wesley College family's heart is broken, and we are devastated by the loss of our long-time Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, educator and friend," Wesley College President Robert E. Clark II said. "No words can adequately describe how our Wesley College family feels, but our thoughts, prayers and our love are with ... the entire Drass family,"

Drass, who turned Wesley into a Division III powerhouse in his 25 seasons, led the Wolverines to 13 straight NCAA tournaments, including last season.

Wesley reached the national semifinals six times. Drass' overall record is 229-69-1, second among active Division III coaches to Rick Giancola of Montclair State.
