Dumb question but does this cover all the teams in the mid Atlantic?

Only poll that has not been released for teams in this region is the NEAC. Other than that I believe most teams are included in these conferences listed above.

Interesting day one results in the Mid-Atlantic.

Would have to say the three biggest winners were Lyco over RUC, Dickinson over William Paterson and Etown over Morrisville.  Those three results show Lyco & Dickinson might be back while Etown is a contender again.

F&M not worried about as it looked like they dominated the game and got unlucky.

Haverford 3-0 over Cabrini - saw the game and they are a shell of what they were the last two years.  They might be in for a long season.

Other good results:
Muhlenberg 2-1 over LVC
Messiah over 3-1 over Chapman
Eastern over Alvernia 3-1
Susquehanna over Ursinus 3-1

Messiah pulls away 3-1 over Mary Washington. Jumpy video and no audio made it tough to watch. Messiah did not look to be at their best... but early in the season so a win against a couple quality sides with 3 goals in each game is a good start. They play at Haverford this week so that should be good indicator of where both teams are early in the season.

Are you saying Haverford is a shell of what they were last year?  Can you please provide more color?

Drew hammered two weak opponents in Mt. Ida (6-0) and Hunter (5-1), but was interesting is number of impact freshman they had.

W&L beat CNU 2-1 in a rain soaked physical match. Only saw the second half but W&L controlled the MF and CNUs defense was very shakey at best.

Gettysburg beat Salisbury in 1-0 OT.  Only saw the first half, but Gettysburg moved the ball really well and Santini's speed caused fits for Salisbury defenders.

Losers from the weekend:
F&M
Etown
Misericordia
Alvernia
Morrisville St

F&M losing to Cal Lutheran is the big head scratcher of the weekend. That may hurt them down the road. Etown losing to W&P a day after putting up 7 goals also is a game to take note of. Morrisville State gives up 15 goals in 2 games this weekend...ouch. Misericordia also dropping both games this weekend is something to monitor.

Winners from the weekend:
Dickinson
Messiah
Lycoming
Gettysburg
Eastern
Scranton

Dickinson opens up with two strong performances putting up 12 goals in 2 games! Messiah wins a pair as expected both 3-1 and are off to a nice start. Lycoming comes away with a 2-0 start as well including possibly the biggest win of the weekend as they snuck away with a win at Rowan. Gettysburg has a nice start with two quality wins. Eastern and Scranton both take care of business as expected and are also off to a 2-0 start.

Still more games to come today around the region!

Why will the Fords struggle? What are your thoughts behind this?

I will take Messiah in this one by a score of 2-0.

Some other games of interest today around the region feature Catholic vs Mary Wash, Fords vs Messiah as mentioned, Lycoming vs Susquehanna, Frostburg vs Hopkins, Manhattanville vs Vassar, Arcadia vs Ursinus, FDU-Florham vs Drew, Misericordia vs Leb Val, Kings vs Scranton, and Swat vs Widener.
