Fredonia in `free fall,' drops 70-63 issue to Houghton, which goes 19x30ft to Freds' 3x8 in opener of RIT tourney. Big ft discrepancy but not pf -- 19 Fredonia, 15 Houghton. Go figure. Potsdam sinks Alfred 68-62 from ft stripe, making 21x22 in second half. Bears trail 29-25 at half when they went 0x1ft, 11x34fg. Only 21x64fg overall, 5x16 3s, outboarded 44-41. B. Hartwick at Oneonta on Saturday night .....

Potsdam's T. Reinhardt back in lineup. Missed previous game for ??? Had 9 pts(2x11fg), 9 rebs in 31' vs. Alfs

BBM

Yes, Tim Reinhardt was definitely bothered by the mask coving his face due to his broken nose. It was easy to see that he couldn't judge distances at all. Still hustled as usual.

slickyquick

Siskavich finally has a double figured rebound game. I think it might be the 1st of his career.  Nice to see Reinhardt back. Somewhat surprising that no one knew what was wrong with me while he was sitting out the SLU game. Big game for Potsdam today in attempts to finish the 1st semester on a high note.

Did anyone notice that Brockport has almost a month off after their games last weekend. They don't play until Dec. 30. Kind of unusual. Might give some transfers (?) more time to adjust. Any word on who they plan on bringing in. Just speculation here, they usually bring in one or two players. I think someone said Shawn Harris' brother is coming in. Any other ideas?

Is anyone surprised by Plattsburgh's slow start. They are extremely talented and I'm somewhat shocked how up and down they have been.

Fredonia is struggling again. At least now they have some talented freshmen, but as we all know you can't completely rely on freshmen in the SUNYAC

jdex

Plattsburgh slow start? Not really. Cards 4-3. Three losses to current 6-2 Conn. Coll by 3, 8-0 St. Lawrence by 12 (6 midway thru 2nd half) and 5-1 Bport by 2 (but at home)

Bports simply didn't add holiday festivities like SUNYIT heading to Vegas, NP to CA and Hawaii (vs. Chaminade), Oswego to VA, and of particular note BS to Orlando where Bengals on morning of 12/22 duel Lincoln, Ind. Yes, the Lincoln of 201 pt. (in)famy this month. The Lincs 5-1 and today vs. Ramapo. Later vs. John Jay, R. Stockton ...... BS on 12/20 in Orlando vs. Albion, MI.
At least Bport has already played at home this season

Fredonia opposing Hobart at this moment in RIT tourney consi. RIT by 19 over Barts on Fri.

E8 is definately better then the SUNYAC this year.  Not trying to cause controversy, but the SUNYAC is a year away from being the best conf. in the region.  They'll get there but not yet.  Geneseo the best in my opinion loses to Fisher.  (doesnt mean they're worse then fisher since fisher was hosting) but all the teams in the SUYAC have been all over the place so far.  Bport still has a good record but they are playing above theire means right now.

slickyquick

FisherDynasty,

I'll agree with you so far. The SUNYAC changes so much once it gets into league though. The one difference between the SUNYAC and the Empire 8 is that wins on roadtrips aren't automatic like they are in the Empire. In the SUNYAC anyone can lose to anyone, in part because of the long road trips and the tough environments.

When you think about it everyone in the Empire is at the most 3 hours away while the SUNYAC could be 5 to 6 hours especially for Potsdam, Plattsburgh, New Paltz, and Fredonia. When you go the North Country, you will be lucky to go 1-1. That trip just wears on players and coaches alike. It is also a problem when teams have to travel to places like Oneonta on Tuesday nights four hours and then try and play a game. That is usually a tough trip.

I don't know if I agree with you on Brockport. They actually could get better if their rumored transfers come in. So we'll just have to see on that one.

That won't be the same when Stevens is added to the conference. I assume one other school in that area will be added as well to keep it at an even number.

FisherDynasty

Who is Bport supposed to be getting? They always seem to pull in some good transfers.  If they get a 6'3, 6'4 slasher or a big man they could be very dangerous.

I think someone on here said that Shawn Harris' brother is coming. There might be one or two more. I think we will have to wait and see what Whitmore has up his sleeve when the semester begins.
