West

1. Mississippi College 28-7 (24-5)
2. Redlands                27-6 (22-5)
3. Chapman                24-7 (19-4)
4. Pomona Pitzer         26-8 (24-6)
5. Trinity (TX)             28-7 (24-6)
6. Linfield                    24-10 (22-7)
7. Pacific Lutheran      27-7  (20-7)
8. Texas-Tyler            28-10  (26-9)
9. Texas Lutheran       26-9  (24-9)

Could Mississippi get shipped to South Regional....

Will be tough for Pac Lu, Linfield, or George Fox to get a Pool C bid with their SOS.
Either Redlands or Pomona will get a Pool C bid most likely. Looks like 3 from the list of above may be staying home from the dance. The race to the finish line could be a photo finish to see who edges ahead at the end.
Or flown to the Central Region?

It depends on where the Pool Cs come from. They shipped Linfield into Oshkosh two years ago.
and Linfield whooped 'em good, too.  ;)
Just to be clear, the 2008 Cats won the Augustana Regional. The Oshkosh Regional that year had St. Thomas, Whitewater, Carthage, St. Scholastica and Oshkosh (and Knox).

That was a BRUTAL(in the tough sense of the word) regional! You could argue that the 2008 OSHKOSH regional was tougher than the 2008 World Series in terms of competition.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

I left that for someone else to write, but I definitely thought it was the toughest. Whitewater was ridiculous with the bats that weekend.

Whitewater could seriously hit the ball in 2008.

4. Buena Vista
5. Wheaton
6. Carthage
7. Greenville
8. Central
9. PICK MWC team (Ripon. SNC, Beloit)
10. ??????

That 2008 Regional, like nearly every Midwest Regional was a dogfight. 5 of the 6 teams could have come out of that regional and nobody would have been surprised. There is no throwing off in the Midwest Regional and when it gets down to the final days pitching gets thin and you see teams #1 back on the mound for the finals. I believe Whitewater knocked off St. Scholastica in the finals.

Just a question.  Did the regular season winner of the CAC receive a automatic pool bid?  I know the conference tournament does but how about regular season?

Welcome to the boards.

The Capital AC awarded its first automatic bid to Mary Washington, the winners of the post-season tourney.

Only the Michigan IAA, the Southern California IAC and the Northwest Conference award the AQ to the Regular Season Baseball Champion.

That "post-season Tobacco Road/ACC Tourney thing" that was started nearly 40 years has permeated all of the NCAA divisions.

The CAC regular season winner has to hope for a Pool C bid.

Updated SOS numbers through Tuesday. Also includes numerous other corrections, esp. in the Midwest and Central thanks to Oshdude.

If I count right, Salisbury is 54th in the regional records.  They need to win 8 of their last 10 games to keep pace.  I expect several teams to drop below them if they maintain their .714 regional record but at this time nothing looks guarenteed for Salisbury.

Well, their SOS is very low. If SOS is really the reason that Montclair has gotten in the tournament in the past with 16+ losses, then SOS is very important.

There are many teams above Salisbury with better records AND SOS. I don't see how Salisbury could possibly get in if they lose anymore games, considering how poor  their SOS is.

There will be many teams above them in winning % with stronger SOS, and many teams below them with stronger SOS, which was enough to put Montclair over Salisbury-level teams in the past.

If SOS is the most important thing, then I dont see how Salisbury could get in, when Curry got left out at 34-7 last year with a similar SOS.

I think Wesleyan's in region record is wrong.

I have it around 19-3 before today. Somehow, you guys have much more of their wins coming out of region, and have them at 11-3
