@d3photoguy on Twitter is a good follow for the UST/CRTH game.

Isn't he @d3photodude ?

Yes, I am. Back in the media tent for 20 minutes until this next game starts.

The humidity is rising, or at least it appears to be. The wind has died out nearly completely (light breeze in from LF right now). Last I heard r**n was in the forecast at 6pm Central. Accuweather.com shows rain outside of Rockford.

Tommies are now 11-0 in elimination play, this may qualify them as the hottest team in tournament play? Not sure; just here shooting, tweeting and occasionally posting. That's the job of others (i.e. Jim and Pat).

The Farmingdale SS may need a few hugs tonight ... three errors to allow four unearned runs in the 9th. Those were the only three Farmingdale errors in the game. That was hard to watch even on live stats.

Three? That's nothing! I can do him one better and on a bigger stage...I own the post-season record for the NCAA with four errors in a game against UW-Oshkosh in a 1994 world series game :'(

Webster downs RHIT, 7-1, setting up the one-day-delayed crucial game 7 against IWU.

Hopkins weathered some early defensive miscues and simply out-scored rowan 9-4. POTY candidates Dave Kahn and Brian Youchak had big hits for the blue jays yet again. James Teta had several exceptional plays at SS.

Greg Harbeck pitched a great game with 9 IP and 1 ER. Eagleson, Eliopolous, and Harbeck all have the numbers to be all americans for Hopkins.

Hopkins will go with Simmons tomorrow in the 1st championship game. I assume they will go with Eliopolous on Sunday if the 1st championship game tomorrow gets away from them.

in Mideast action...

Heidelberg won only their 2nd game of the tournament to advance to tomorrow's Championship round where they must lose twice.

Marietta has steamrolled through the loser's bracket after falling on day one to Thomas More.
- eliminated Wooster 6-0
- eliminated W&J 11-1
- eliminated Thomas More 16-4
- eliminated PS-Behrend 2-1 in 10 innings...crazy game.  PSB gave it way with errors in the 9th & 10th.

The OAC will have someone traveling to Appleton :)

Mideast Championship
#1 Heidelberg (2-0) vs #3 Marietta (4-1).....that's a huge difference in number of games played, right?!?!?  lol

... as will the WIAC with Whitewater needing to knock off Stevens Point twice.

West Regional has Mississippi College sending UT-Tyler home and Chapman going home after losing to Linfield.

One loss Linfield is up 7-0 after 2 against undefeated P-P.

Yes, that's why I said the 7-team format this year is ridiculous.

Heidelberg will always have 1 less game played than their opponent -hence, a starting pitching advantage - even against teams in the winner's bracket who do not deserve such a disadvantage...

Heidelberg is still legit though...

No you don't!  That belongs to Kevin Creehan of Allegheny with 6 in 1996 tournament game.

^^^ ha!!!

I was at that game in the Regionals vs Marietta.  I was there as a recruit, watching the Etta Express.  It was a trainwreck of the worst kind...unless you were a HS senior who already committed to being a Pioneer the next year :) lol
