Ralph, how many more games do you think Trinity needs to win in order to safely say that they will have at least an at-large bid?  I was thinking 3 out of their last 4 games.
Walter, McMurry dropped from "C4" to "C19"  and from #19 to #45 overall with two losses to UMHB, no slouch of a team.

As I look at the Pool C bids, I think that Trinity can go 3-1 in the regular season and 2-1 in the tourney and still sneak into Pool C.  TU is currently #15 (down from #14 two weeks ago) in the rankings.
Do you want to speculate on Centre as well, Ralph?  DePauw is probably Centre's potential biggest obstacle to making the post season in a Pool C classification.  One of these teams will be left behind I would image.  If Centre wins out the remainder of the regular season, and gets to the final of the SCAC tournament, what do you think?

I will go on record now.

I think that Centre earns a Pool C bid, if they win the last 3 regular season games, and then lose in the tourney finals.

No way the 3rd place team in the SCAC (a quarterfinal loser) is in the tourney. Maryville College wins its last 16 STRAIGHT with a youth movement after playing nine of first 11 on the road. Scots are a perennial tourney invite and this year should be no different. 16 straight wins to end the season should get you in.

Randolph Macon loses to Virginia Wesleyan in conference quarters. Roanoke loses to Hampden-Sydney in conference quarters. FYI posters. MARYVILLE COLLEGE beats Virginia Wesleyan and Hampden-Sydney this year. This season. With a bunch of freshman and sophs. Maryville College has won 16 straight. MC is in.

Welcome to the boards.

The FAQ on the front page gives the mechanism by which Maryville can earn a Pool b bid.

Averett's win over CNU helps Maryville TN. That might be the little extra that the committee needs in the criteria.

16 straight wins is not one of the criteria that the Handbook designates.

I always encourage fans to look at the Handbook.

Thanks for the post Ralph. Sad to see that 16 straight wins is not a criteria for being in. Maryville's win over Averett is reflective of the youth movement this Scots team had. In the past Maryville has been upperclassmen heavy and were early season road warriors. Once our freshman got acclimated this was a good team-NCAA worthy. I appreciate your post and will check out the criteria.
