Defense has been solid but I see the same QB I saw last year in this game.  One half of football to play.  Conservative isn't going to get it done.

Woohoo!!!!  First time I have received a scouting report in quite a while.  It has compelled me to pay for ESPN + because I don't want to miss this game.  Don't expect the same ole same ole sports fans.  Mount is going be to rolling out more than a few wrinkles to the point it makes Purple Suit's outfit look fly.

Go Mount!  Lay it all out there.

Greetings all!
Does anyone know if streaming of the game will be available without signing up for ESPN+?  I don't have ESPNU & would prefer not to have to head to a sports bar down here in Raleigh.

It's great to see Mount back in the Stagg.  I would put them at a 10 point underdog but stranger things have happened.

First time in 24 years not being with Skunk & his family for this game.  I did get to watch on the computer & Mount is showing signs of being much better than folks have said on here.  Just keep winning & advance.  Heck of a comeback by Del Val so Mount will have a stronger challenge next week.

RIP my friend.  One of the most genuine people you would ever meet.

Dartt isn't going anywhere.  Considering he's married to LK's daughter pretty much assures that unless he decides to leave for a higher level job he is secure in Alliance for as long as he wants.  He will get better as the seasons move on and I am feeling positive about the future for the Raiders.

Much to improve on before next year but I don't doubt that Mount will do so.

Plunk not good enough.  He has a quarter to right the ship.

Coaching scared.  Your punter has proven he's not ready for prime time.  GO FOR IT!

Getting the "bad Plunk" since that first drive.  Better throws young man...better throws.

Mount's D has been solid.  Little things on offense & a big unforced turnover is the difference.  Mount's going to get the ball and the wind starting the 3rd.  They need to get rolling immediately.

What a bull**** call!

Keep manning Ruby!  It will be another 10/150/2 day.  Great start Mount!

Gosh, I hope this is right.

My recollection of a couple years ago includes the following:

1)  I, and a number of other Mount Union fans, said that there was a lack of public knowledge as to what exactly the problem was but that based on that limited knowledge Mount Union looked small.

2)  On the other hand, if anybody on planet Earth deserved the benefit of the doubt it would be Larry Kehres, and Larry Kehres knew WAY more about the situation than was publicly available.  Many Mount fans emphasized this.

3)  As is fairly common in homo sapiens Larry Kehres likes good publicity better than he likes bad publicity.

4)  Frank Rossi admitted that he had a temper problem that he was attempting to control as he got older.

Well, that's my recollection; I imagine others have different recollections.

P.S.  Uh, I still don't know what actually happened.
I think you have the same take as a lot of us.  I think both sides made some mistakes that they would do somewhat differently if they had a chance(WHETHER THEY WILL ADMIT IT OR NOT) .  Mount may look small to some because of it but knowing LK the way I do I am sure he feels protecting the student athletes under his watch is more important.

And 4. is not really a staffer and I have no control over what Frank does, really.

Pat, that is the one claim that you have always made that I take exception with.  He on the boards, he does sideline for the Stagg, he is always a prognosticator in your columns.  I think you are trying to skate by on a technicality.  However, it is all water under the bridge from years ago.  NEXT!  Let's do this semifinal.

I find it hilarious that there is an underlying buzz that the Stagg committee from Canton has the "fix" in with the NCAA and that is why Mount is at home against NCC.  What a crock of ****!  The NCAA does what it does (idiotically at times) and the HOF and venue for the Stagg has NO sway with that group.

We all know NCC as the undefeated defending national champion should be hosting this game...PERIOD.

As for the game itself, Mount's defense has actually played better than what I watched earlier in the year.  The offense...ummmm.

Plunk needs to step up and be the QB that he has flashed at times.  Get the ball to Ruby any & every time he is single covered because you cannot cover him with whatever AA DB's you think you have.  And, if you roll the safety over to his side (which you should definitely do) Mount's other receivers are very good and will make plays.

Petro has worked himself out of the year long doghouse (don't believe you own hype young man), and he can carry this team on the ground to win this game.  Parker can give that shake to the bake so I think the offense is in good hands IF Plunk plays at least a B+ game.

The defense needs to make timely big plays as they will not stop NCC on a regular basis.  I think this has the makings of a great game and unless there is a huge glitch in the matrix, I see this as a 7 point/who has the ball last type of game.

Wife & I are hosting family for a holiday party where we have finally taken the reins from her 87 year old mother for the feast of the 7 fishes.  The party starts at 3 so the game should be over by then.  Here's hoping I am celebrating!

Nice 1/2 of the 2nd quarter and on for Mount.

Plunk was "ok" but seemed somewhat inconsistent.  Missed many open Mount receivers but in the end got the job done.  Mount's running game seemed to be either a big gainer or -2.  Poor #18 for JHU that they kept putting on an island with Ruby.  It was a brutal day for him.  JHU's QB & #6 the receiver were exceptional.  I did not see much of blown coverage out of Mount but that QB just put the ball on the money.

Not sure Mount is ready for the big lights of good ole Canton, OH (or Naperville for that matter) but it will be fun to see.
