Wheaton is ranked 12th in the country...and is in 5th place in the CCIW.

Those are from two different dates, of course.

Well, I could get into a Sageristic debate on this and build a solid case that this is a fact as of today -- that on Oct 14 Wheaton is ranked 12th in the country and in 5th place in the CCIW.

But I know what you are saying. :)

Sorry Q.  The rankings state that they are "Through games of Oct 6"  Pat has you on this one.  ::)

OK I am getting more interested in this debate now...

Wasn't Wheaton ranked #12 yesterday (when I made that post)?

When games ended yesterday, wasn't Wheaton both ranked #12 by D3football.com and in 5th place in the CCIW?

FWIW I'm with you Q.

Pat Coleman

Standings through games of Oct. 13 =/= Rankings through games of Oct. 6.
Different data, so how shocking it is that the results don't match up ...

I never get between Sager and Q.  I know better.  But we all know that Wheaton is toast.

You don't think a 2 loss team has any chance to share the title?

Yes, but if that happens, there is probably only one team moving on.
CCIW FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS '06-'07-'08-'09-'10-'11-'12-'13
CCIW  MEN"S INDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONS: TOTAL DOMINATION SINCE 2001.
CCIW MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONS: 35
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS: INDOOR TRACK-'89,'10,'11,'12/OUTDOOR TRACK: '89,'94,'98,'00,'10,'11
2013 OAC post season pick-em tri-champion
2015 CCIW Pick-em co-champion

Not to put words in 70's mouth, but I think he was referring to the playoffs. Not to the conference title or CO-title.

In my opinion, a national or regional ordering of the top CCIW teams right now, through 10/13, should be...

1. IWU
2. North Central
3. Wash U
4. Wheaton
5. Millikin

Probably so. I was the only one voting for Wash U prior to this week, so they were not really on anyone's radar.

Wheaton is #23 in the D3hoops.com poll...and 5th in the CCIW.

Will this still be true tomorrow? When does this statement expire?

USee

WashU is 23-6 at home in St Louis over the past 6 seasons. They have a senior QB completing 71% of his passes and a group of capable skill players. They are coached as well as any team in the country. They are going to be tough to beat at home. WashU will not beat themselves and teams cannot go in and make mistakes against this team and expect to win.

Pat, Wash U was on my radar -- see earlier post.  Q, "toast" meant for a play-off spot -- for WC.

IWU's game at Wash U this Saturday the most important so far this season.

70,

I'm sure it was obvious I was talking about the Top 25 voters.
