Sanders has looked terrible the last two games. looks like a deer in headlights. basically 5-4 when he's out there. james jennings, you are missed

albertus up 12 at half. def the more superior team. 1-6 from three, i just think no jennings will be the achilles heel eventually. with him, they are a final four team. but keep proving me wrong!

Was at the game tonight, think i might have had the pleasure to meet junkie while there. Junkie, is your son a Bills fan?

On to the game. Crowd was ok, but no student section really. Sad, this team would have been unreal with the old student crowds. Anyhow, albertus totally turned it up defensively. Simonds is excellent, but Sledge and Sanders were hrrassing him all game, and in the second half tired legs showed this. lbertus ws just too good for st joes. they held them to 3 points to start the second half, for 10 or 12 mins. impressive. This team three point wise is not the same without jennings obv. Sanders played excellent today. ITs a give or take without jennings. the three point shot goes, but also not that many bad shots taken. IT is what it is. Saturday should be fun, JWU beat Rhode Island College, who is currently ranked high on the regional rankings. its a shame that the gnat is so bad, bc these two teams are top 5 in new england. JWU coming off an ecac tourney win last yr. Of course I'm going falcons, but JWU is certainly capable of pulling it off. 1 pm tip, can't wait!

*missed the whole second half. played all of 10 mins. left with an injury. if thats a weakness that can derail albertus, their depth. their bench is strong, but no where near the talent of the starting 5. interesting to see how they play saturday, down two starting guards

FC Grizz, you feel to say how they have fallen flat on their faces in the tourney. please do tell how thats the case. You asked why everyone is so high on them, now you got your answer. Its a rather simple one at that. return 4 starters from a sweet 16 team, bring in a legit d1 transfer, and there you have it. I think if their starting PG didn't miss the majority of the second half against stockton, they'd be undefeated right now.

So I wonder if I had sent in this bracket to Mr. Ypsi, if he would've declined it??  Are you allowed to decline yourself??
Nothing there too egregious. The only one that was radically different from the group was Wooster.

Can someone explain to me why everyone is so high on Albertus Magnus (not just here but the d3h poll as well)? Who have they beaten? Seems like every year they get by with an easy non-conference schedule, rise up through the rankings as they keep beating weak teams while others lose, then fall on their face in the tournament. If it was a one time scheduling thing I could understand, but it seems like it's every year with them. Until they actually beat someone they won't be making my top 25.

They got to the sweet sixteen last yr, that falling flat on their face? lol weird perspective to me

Mind you I know west conn ended the drought, but there was a few yrs they didn't play, and i have a funny feeling it was bc albertus turned the tides on them. Albertus had 3 wins my fresh soph yr there, and begged guys from the baseball team, i was one, to play on the team just to look like they had bench players. insert Oliver and this program has done a 720, they were literally the bad news bears of d3 prior to oliver, look it up. Wopuld make for a freaking disney movie almost

Pat, they beat the 15th ranked team by 8 on their home court. Close game, i suppose, but Albertus was in control pretty much the entire game. Anyhow, I have no problem with them being ranked 11th. What I have a problem with is that Dave says thats their ceiling. So he has a pre determined spot for them, even though he has said on multiple occasions this top 25 is wacky. So why is their no shot to have albertus higher? Seems like narrow minded thinking to me is all. Also, maybe albertus was ranked good where they were last yr as you stated, but i remember a little debate with dave where he had them like 7 in new england, and clearly he was way off there. As they proved that in the tourney. Last thing, I remember the trinity's and west conns having NOOOOO problem playing albertus when i was a student from 04-08. Then Oliver came around and all the sudden those schools don't want to play????? this is a guy who has scheduled Central and Yale twice, one game in which they led with less then a minute.

good point Pat, however its invalid bc Oliver was double T'd the game prior to Medgar Evers, a game they ended up winning. He served his one game suspension the next game, medlar evers, and they lost on a buzzer beater. year before that, Oliver served the same one game suspension. They played rivier and lost, in what was the last game of the yr. well first round of gnat tourney, they play rivier again, the very next game in the first round. this time with oliver. and win by 30 plus. The point is the team is a different with him coaching. but you obv see it your way. i just wish that if you get oliver in an interview, like yrs prior, you guys actually have the guts to confront him with these concerns you bring up on this board. bc just like you critiquing olives coaching, i can critique your journalism. so hopefully you or dave has the guts to do that, unlike years prior. I'm sure he'd be glad to answer
